Hey Stuart, feeling better too I hope. 4am cuppa, pills and banana often happens here although I am out of bananas so thanks for the reminder.

I slept right through last night. bp was 112/76 when I woke at 7:45 so definitely the anti inflams as I took none yesterday.

Will definitely go to the graduation if there is one Toni. I will go on the bike obvs. I seem to be using the Beemer I bought last year as an investment, and said I would have it serviced and cleaned and park it up to keep the miles off it and value up, but it’s too good not to use. I even got caught out in the rain the other day. I saw one for sale with 45k miles and it was still advertised for more than mine cost with only 14k miles. I am waffling again sorry. I just love my bikes and riding around in this hot weather. Lovely.

How are the gardens going all you gardening folk? Are you watering everyday? I had to explain to Sucré about lawn sprinklers as there was one in the grounds on his school. He asked if we could have one, but my garden is all concrete apart from the raised beds I made with the sleepers but he still wanted one to run through so I might surprise him with one for the hot weather later this week. What is it about kids and water, I don’t remember being like that. ??

booked the osteo for 10am as my neck is so bad and I haven’t seen her since having to pay my private medical bills as I couldn’t afford both so it will be nice to have a catchup and get treated.

Hi all 👋

Not much going on here today, well slightly less than not much given I gave my ankle a twist somehow yesterday so am a bit substandard 😬 I can make a tray of tea but can I be excused heavy lifting 😉.

Hope all fine with you and the lift and errands and the V.E.T. frog 🤞 Sleek nipped round after, grumbling under her breath, and Elfie too also with his nose out of joint, so as I'm grouchy as well we all got on famously 😽. Did have a reasonable heavy bit of rain here in fact so felt I should go up & check the loft, Elfie did a recce and I brought up the rear, that was interesting on a dodgy ankle - all well so far up there. Hair-washing, ugh I should too, but will have to wait, it would be most unwise of me to stand for long wouldn't it 😉. At least I shan't need to water the garden as the rain will have sorted that for today, thank you I will report back on the hosta. Love your salvia! very very pretty ☺️. I gamely threw a few late peas and beans into pots yesterday, well it isn't too late technically, but as always it was going to be sooner, on paper; just didn't happen. I expect Elfie is getting on well with 'his' rainy day jigsaw, I see he already had all the edge bits (my favourite). I didn't stay up for the moon either in the end. Hope the cat feeding went ok; oh, manners Oreo 🤭fancy trying to pinch off others' plates. Hope everyone ok at the moment, love to all 😘 xx

Hi bosh, scones and the British, yes not really a 'little known' piece of tradition is it 😄 I have made them a long time ago, definitely at school and since I think but certainly not for a looong time. It's one of those rub butter into flour things isn't it, I favour 'chuck ingredients into bowl' if possible these days, actually a mix might not be a bad idea though 🤔. As for al fresco vouchers, ooh yes love a coupon 😀😄 having said that, most places have got very stingy with coupons these days, it's all price match this and multibuy that 😔. Glad you're feeling better than yesterday 👍️ the thunder weather is bringing temps down a bit and quite a lot of cloud. Hope you have a good evening :) xx

Nice to see you in your rightful place Keef 1️⃣😁 and glad you've had good biking conditions 😊. Still nice here, looking ahead, if we get past the next thundery weather bits. Watering here gets done as & when 😬 haven't got anything too fussy, quite a lot of things are in pots so I can get round those easy. I'm not finicky about lawns either. No idea about kids and water, wasn't my sort of thing but then I wasn't keen on water and mud and mess in general 😬 absolutely hated the feel of making papier mache at school 😱😂. I remember watching blue carb & mustard in 1066 (approximately) and the bees were said to be chatting about the honey market, I liked that, the finance professionals of the garden haha, maybe the wasps are the evil moneylenders and Lorenzo is of course the insect in chief of the garden, who can be relatively non - venomous as long as no one threatens to take home home early when he’s in such close proximity to birthday cake 😂

I have not made scones from scratch, but that sounds about right. Yes the mix was easy to use and didn’t taste too bad at all although of course I’m sure they don’t compare to proper home-made ones

I walked a bit earlier than usual today which was good but

both parents were having medium strength tantrums at that time, so I couldn’t find my glasses. Oh dear

so I walked without them. It’s okay. My vision isn’t too bad but it is a bit frustrating to be without one’s spectacles in the relatively early hours - goodness only knows what Jane Austen would say about that

maybe if I fashioned myself a handbag made of cucumber sandwiches to keep the aforementioned glasses in, with the inside layer being solid cucumber to cool the glasses down?

well it’s an idea but I don’t think it’s actually become destined to become a top seller or nosegay unfortunately

Morning Stuart I am so so sorry that your jab didn't work this time. They usually help you mind it might yet. The one i had in my shoulder took about 10 days to work (although it didn't last even 2 weeks after that) so fingers crossed. Have you got an apt yet with a consultant? ((())) xxx

How did you get on at the osteo? Glad to hear your BP is actually ok scary isn't it when it spikes. Shame though because l find the anti-inflams (found should l say) the most effective in a way for pain.

Now I understand about wanting to keep the mileage down on the Beemer. Hidden in the garage in the garden Paul has a porsche (really, but I am not keen) which he drives only to keep it working well and for services. It has very low mileage. I keep saying it's not worth having if you can't enjoy it. So get out there treat yourself!

I am indeed watering the garden or at least I was apart from yesterday which nature did for me. My girls loved a sprinkler to run through I have photos somewhere…..l wouldn't post them here anyway of course, but for them so look at.

You didn't get the storm? Wow! It was good too I was actually driving in it. Only saw to flashes of lightening, but the rain! It was lovely and windy and cool. Warm still by bedtime. The Weather Gods were kind to you, but did they keep you cool enough to sleep last night?

Awww that is sweet inagining the bees talking and all teh insects having different roles and conversations. Kari and me makes all animals speak to us we put on voices. Morning Toady Elfie was out of sorts was he? Oh dear poor lad he wanted to go on site with his Dad. Well he'll cheer up today as we will start loading up the motorhome I think😊 Sleek was fine by the evening (thanks for cheering her up after her ordeal at the vets) and feeling fine. I expect her bones feel way better today. Unfortunately she does continue to lose weight the vet said feed her as often as l want and as many treats as she likes. Bless her. Well she definitely likes her treats!

Supposed to be my puzzle but Elfie enjoys doing them too bless him. I have got a small one for him to do in France. It is a wasgij but small.

How is your ankle? Any better? I hope you can have a steady day today. I think they are both visiting I am at A**a today collecting food for the foodbank. That should be fun. Hopefully anyway. Couldn't do that for long with a poorly ankle.

We are due to get a thunder storm on Saturday I think unfortunately looks like a day in for us on Saturday and probably a film with the kids I don't fancy getting buses in that sort of weather.
