Just another very quick line, had a very good appt thanks to everyone that sent good wishes, all straightforward, & change of meds for me asap. Trying not to get my hopes up as there's no guarantee I'll do well on another anti-tnf, but as I'm not in the state I was in pre-Enbrel (yet!) at least I have a bit of rope. Love to all, quick cuppa for me..

..and I'm staying out of the darker cafe corners now I've seen what's in here. :o

Just popping in to ask for reinforcements. I'm alone with 2 hyperactive children. Help. Daughter and sonil are having an evening out. We're actually having fun making tea with sand. Might not get back in as having problems signing in. This tablet's keyboard doesn't work very well. Hope all are as well as you can be. xx

    Hello everyone,

Just a quick visit, using friend's ipad.

I am so annoyed. My son sent mine back to me yesterday, insured and with guaranteed delivery today. I have just found a card in my porch saying they have taken it back as I was out. I haven't been anywhere!

I will - hopefully - be around on Monday.

    Much love to you all.......Cate.x

Whoo hoo, spiders and monsters. Is it safe to come in? Don't mind the spiders and monsters, but don't want Dracula getting to my blood - but then, maybe the MTX, Leflunomide and Pred might send him packing. :scary-spider:

Cate, that's awful, they obviously didn't even try to deliver it. Have a large piece of lemon layer cake with a muggatea. Next time put one of these outside your door.
    :pumpkin:

Barbara, so glad you slept well. It was so cold when we went to T**co this morning, I wore my hat and gloves. Should have pinched the mummy's bandages.
    :zombie-mummy:

Toni, thanks for the coffee. Need it to keep me warm. It goes right through to me bones.
    :skull:

Christine, hope the children aren't wearing you to a frazzle. :zombie-cat:

mig, I hope you have a large cauldron for all these spider. Whoops, here's another. :spider:

Toady, I'm glad the appointment went well. Hope the new meds help you. Don't want you looking like this -
    :horror-movie:

Joan, Don't worry about me, I'm a tough old bird - as long as I can get this itching under control before it gets too bad, I'll be happy. :D

Sending everyone calming thoughts and protection from all the ghosties and ghoulies.

Joan I am with you about the tree :( Such a shame and kinf od wrong that we can do what we like with living things isn't it? :(

Barbara sounds like you enjoyed yourselves. We like people watching too here - it's fun ;) I wonder whether anyone people watch us :?

Mig that has happened to me too. I blame our door-bell which is on it's way out and the other night was going off at 3am!!!!!!!!!

Sun is out here already and I wish my neck was better I am desperate to get outside in the garden!

Hope Elizabeth is on the mend.....

It did look better with the tree. What was the reason for chopping it down ,there has been a lot of trees chopped down in and around Nottingham.
Off to the hairdressers in a while looking a bit untidy.
Pork chops for tea with mash and broccoli ,had a delicious Sunday lunch at the garden centre and brought some heathers lavender and some ornamental grasses. Mig

That was a lovely view out of your window Barbara. I suppose the council cut it, probably before it fell.
New neighbours gutted the house (OH told them off for some very late night drilling and hammering) and cut back most of the blackberry bushes and trees. If you remember I couldn't get OH to cut them back and they were blocking out the sunshine so they have done me a favour. At the same time a few houses down shortened a very tall tree so I've got lots of light.

Still got our fallen apple tree as OH completely ignored the lovely weather and I was too ill to keep an eye. I made him mow the lawn on Saturday and Daniel was as good as gold and didn't get upset by the law mower noise!

Sorry to read you are suffering nasties Kath.
Lovely to see Toady is getting a change of meds.
Toni I'm spooked too and hate Halloween. The kids have picked up my vibes and hate it too.

Sorry about your parcel Cate. That has happened to me too.

Hope your friend will be okay Joan.

Morning all out early this morning for our flu jabs then had something to eat at Morris*ns
Mig the reason the tree was chopped down because they dont like picking up the leaves..my hair soon gets untidy with being short..you will feel better and must say the tea sounds good...
Joan I remember you saying about Blackpool..its a long walk especially pushing a wheelchair..but lovely memories..it will be lovely to catch up with your friend...
Elizabeth the tree is in a garden ..so they had it felled not much we can do but such a shame...men eh...at least you got the lawn mowed..and glad the neighbours have cut the bushed back...this is the trouble when they start doing work on the house hope it goes quiet soon ...and good on Daniel..
Toni..hope Lucy is doing ok at college...just wait till she is fully trained... :D I dread to think what the kitchen will look like they have all sorts of colored cakes they want to make... :pumpkin:
Its a miserable day here after the weeks of sun..suppose it has to come.. :skull: ...
will make a cuppa and see what Kath has brought in for us.... :D

Evening all, it's been a dull, cold and wet day here. I think we can safely say summer is over. :skull:

Barbara, I had my flu jab today too. I wasn't supposed to have it until Saturday, same time as OH, but I went for a blood test and she asked me if I wanted my jab too, so I said yes please. OH will still have his on Saturday, as she was too busy to fit him in and anyway, we were in a hurry.

Elizabeth, I'm glad to hear you have lots of light, it must make a difference.

Joan, it's a shame your friend can't remember you, but I'm sure she will enjoy your visit anyway. I'm sure she will remember some of the things you will talk about.

Toni, in the centre of our town there used to be a huge house years ago, called The Beeches. It was surrounded by lovely Beech trees, but when the house was demolished in the early 1960s, most of the trees went too, but one was retained. The area is still known as the Beeches (small shopping precinct) but in the 1980s someone chopped it down in the middle of the night, illegally and without anyone knowing until the next day. There was an outrage, but the guilty party was never discovered. Newcomers to the area often ask why the precinct is called the Beeches.
    :vampire:

Mig, hope hubby didn't get the lurgy. :zombie-cat:

Sending all warm greetings, also Cate, Toady, Christine. :pumpkin:

    Morning all..sunny for now
Kath lad to see you have had your flu jab...and what a blinking shame that someone took down the beech tree..on a closer inspection we see they have left most of the trunk across the rd so I am sure it will recover before long..hope the blood test results are ok..
Not heard a thing off the ENT yet..not looking forward to what they will do to rid me of this infection..
Not a clue what today will bring..suddenly I am really missing working..and going to the gym...but life goes on...has they say... :)
Hope everyone's doing ok..I will put the kettle on and sit by the window and ponder... :pumpkin:

I had a phone call from my GP this afternoon. She has my blood test results already. She asked if I was back on MTX, as she had that letter saying rheumy was considering stopping it for a couple of weeks. I said I'd never stopped it as I didn't get any instructions from rheumy. Anyway, my ALT (liver enzyme) is 77, when it should be below 50. So GP is going to write to rheumy to find out what I should do. FED UP!!

    :horror-movie: :vampire: :spider: :zombie-mummy:

Oh Joan, I'm so pleased your friend remembered you. You must have had a lovely chat. :)

Barbara I'm sorry you haven't heard from ENT yet, you just want to get the treatment over and done with. :?
