barbara12, I am late - I am soooo sorry! I hope you were able to get that uniform off before your appointment!

I hope it was all OK and that they were more helpful/constructive this time - I really, really do. I am thinking of you. DD

Thank you Rose, Ironic, Chris, Rob, Julie, Joan, DD, and Elizabeth....
Well I went and I didnt wait long before they shouted me....did all the bloods mrsa swabs  didnt know they took them from there....and did an ECG....the nurse was from the Ukraine and she was so lovely and caring.
Any way she said he is giving me a general anaesthetic, because I have had a reaction twice to the local ones, and he will give me the injections and have a look around......I still dont understand this....when he has seen how bad the xrays are......but there you go.
They are doing it Tuesday and not Monday....and get this I have to be there for 7oclock  its a 40 min drive....so I had better set my alarm.....depending on where I am on the list...I might have a long wait.....they can go on to around 4 oclock
Thank you again each and everyone of you
    Love to you all
    Barbara xx

GA is a good thing, a very good thing. The modern drugs are so different to the ones of yore, barbara12, you will be absolutely fine (snaffle some for me whilst you're there, please!) I reckon your chap is doing the very best he can - Xrays show something, yes, but a camera will reveal all in its gory detail and give him the information he needs. That is another good thing and you do know, don't you, that we will be there in force. I have no idea why they are shouting at you - flaming well shout back! DD

    Hi Barbara

Just calling in to check on you. Glad that bit is out of the way and hope you can try and relax a bit this weekend. They will take good care of you on Tuesday love and don't forget I think the camera thingy can do a bit of hoovering up while it is there so with the injections as well which will be in exactly the right place and ARE going to work for you this time, it really should help reduce the pain. Well that is what we are all hoping and keeping our fingers crossed for. Hang in there.
    love and courage ((( )))

Hope it goes well for you, Barbara, as I'm sure it will. Don't worry about the early start- if you're having a general you'll be able to catch up on your sleep then!

Hi Barbara, be there for 7 and you might have to wait until 4!!!!!!!! Take an MP3 or IPOD with you in case you have a long wait, a few trashy mags too ...not easy to concentrate on books when in that sort of setting.
Roll on getting it over with and the medics coming up with a plan ...
