    HI all

    this is me today :smile: and tomorrow i'm hoping for :grin: but will settle for :smile: or even :|:wink::wink:

    I got the MTX injection this morning, and managed to psych myself up enough to leave a message on the rhuemy nurse answerphone to let her know we've decided (unless we hear different) to stay on the 4mg steroids for longer, as the rash is here again, and it needs time to settle to 4mg before we decrease any more :roll:

    They didn't ring me back last week, so I secretly hope they will leave me alone this week too :wink:

    right ..... have some minutes to collate now that the printer has coughed and spluttered them into existence :roll: :roll: so better go.

    much love to you all

    Dear Wonky,
    I so hope tomorrow you will be able to :smile: and even better to :grin:
    Bless you, you are a good girl printing out the minutes. I expect you wrote them as well. :smile:

    Hi Wonky

    Good to see you have called in today. I really do hope tomorrow is more :grin: than :???: But either way let us know how you are when you can? Why not tell them the glass is half full at top, that should confuse them! :lol: Hang in there and take care.

    I suppose that we see the world as a half full glass because we enjoyed the first half, metaphorically speaking, of course!

    It's a big ask, to enjoy the world for what it is, especially with arther by your side, but not impossible.

    I hearby declare myself the worlds biggest cynical optimist.........er, I know what I mean.

    Stay cool wonkylegs.

    well guess what arrived in the post yesterday ...... the Latest Arthritis Care mag with articles on how to work on feeling more positive :grin: and another on how to make mornings easier :grin::grin:

    so ..... good bedtime reading for once :lol::lol::lol:

    only I'm just a bit worried that they are able to read my mind and work out what articles they need to send me :eek: :shock:

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    feeling ok in-between bouts of feeling 'shift' but trying to do little and often , with a bit of retail therapy thrown in.

    will try to be around more this week - however, being kind to myself means early nights and no lingering on the computer before bed!

    hugs to all

    You do what you need to do and come back to us when ready. I haven't been about much this week-end but that doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about people on here: I hope you are feeling brighter in yourself, I read the positive thinking article too - but it isn't always possible, is it? DD

    Hi wonky...just catching up cause I haven't been around much either.
    Glad I did though cause you say your Arthritis news is here...I will watch out for mine as I didn't get one last time....If they miss me out again I will again have to try ringing them.

    I hope you are feeling much better today.
    Like you , I am doing little and often with big rests inbetween.
    Take care

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    I had to laugh reading this, because this morning I managed not to be 'woken' by either of my alarms at 7am (I did take my painkillers then though :shock: ) and 8am (took lansoprazole then though :shock: :shock: ) and only woke up properly when a delivery driver knocked at the door at 10am and woke the dog up, who turns out to be the only alarm my body registers as a signal for me to get out of bed :oops: :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    How is it possible to wake up enough to take medication but not to have any recollection of having done so, or have realised that I was supposed to be ringing the doctors or getting up to go to a meeting :?:

    I have made up with activity this afternoon though, so hopefully I will sleep but get up in the morning :wink:

    I'll let you know!

    hugs to all

    I think it's very easy to wake up, swallow meds and not remember doing so. It's a mixture of disturbed sleep, pain and tiredness all coming together in one glorious splurge of 'did I or didn't I?' Pain does wake one, but only a little, hence the fuzzy swallowing of another couple of tablets. If you were sleeping so deeply that your forgot the docs and the meeting then that is a sign that your body needs the rest - perhaps do a little less during the day than you feel you can manage, and make sure you have a sit-down in between doing chores etc. As for the pain dullers (in this case cocs), well mine are loose, in a little pot by the bed. I go to bed knowing there are four in there, I usually take two somewhere around 3am and then I can roughly work out when to take the other two (or maybe one) if needed. My mum writes down any meds she takes in the night but then she is in a bed on her own so there is no-one to disturb by switching on lights etc.

    It's all part of athritis' rich tapestry! :smile: DD

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    thanks DD & Berty - antifreeze not needed just yet thanks, and DD you're right ... a system for meds is very necessary otherwise i'd be stuck knowing what I'd taken and not taken :roll:

    Today having woken up at the appointed hour to ring for an appointment ...... all the appointments had gone :roll: so I decided to have a little bit more sleep. Awoke to the dog going mad as someone hammered on the door ...... :shock: :shock: ...... was I dreaming? ........ deja vu? ........... no - just my new veg man who'd arrived 4 hours earlier than his predecessor. I didn't know whether to laugh, cry or thank him for waking me up :wink:

    PJs were not the best look for meeting a new fella eh? :lol::lol::lol:

    must be up early tomorrow ..... and no excuses! ....... MTX to be stabbed with by the nurse and Dentist to be endured :roll: :roll: :roll:

    HI Chris, DD, Cris & Seamonkey

    thanks for your lovely posts.

    Seamonkey - I'll gladly take you up on the offer of the alarm clocks, though not sure I'm allowed to set up a virtual babysitting service on here :lol::lol::lol::lol: I do remember staying with a friend when her boys were 7 & 5, their delight at waking me up by jumping on me at 6am is etched in my memory (and in the bruises I can still feel :wink: )

    Hey - good news from the Dentist!!! I was worried because my gums were looking different, and quite pale. TUrns out that's because they are now healthier than they have been for many many years :grin::grin: and they look like they should!!! So whilst feeling a bit of a chump for asking :oops: I actually felt quite good coming out with no more appointments for 6 months and a healthy mouth for once :grin::grin::grin:

    FLying visit to site tonight because I'm off to the emergency Rheumy clinic in the morning.

    TO flush out the Leflunomide or not to flush out the leflunomide? that is the question for tomorrow!!!

    take care

    Hi Wonky

    Hope tomorrow goes ok for you, I will be thinking of you. To flush out the leflunomide or not indeed, that is the question? :???: Whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrow of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles...... blah blah blah. I do like a bit of Rattledagger now and then. :grin: I didna always pack fudge ya know. :grin:
