Well, i obviously didn't get enough of a&e waiting areas an X-ray departments yesterday for the blasted shoulder.
I fell down the stairs at home lunchtime, tripped on some fallen washing (socks) and...I've broken my wrist.
Trying to type with my thumb on my right hand (I'm L handed!)
3 hours in a&e and a full plaster cast on my arm, plus methotrexate tonight, woo hoo.
Feeling very sorry for myself :(
Sorry to bring anyone down, hope you are all as painfree as possible

Thankyou everyone for kind thoughts and words, feeling very miserable.
My boys are running round helping me bless em, and hubby doing tea etc.
Pain is incredible, even though I've taken 2 tramadol it's got it's own heartbeat under the plaster.
Oh well, could always be worse, and I'd much rather it happen to me than one of my lads!
Thanks again everyone you are lovely people, off to try and lie down
    Hugs Poppy X

Or NHS Direct. Do hope you get some relief soon. It sounds like a total nightmare.

Hi Cris, Sticky, Tony and everyone who gave me support and advice,
I ended up going back to a&e around 3am, couldn't take it anymore Hubby insisted as I was sat crying.
Orthopaedics saw me and have changed the cast I was in as it was not suitable for someone with PA. They can't do much for 10 days but in back then to X-ray again an review. The pain is much better as the position of the cast is much more comfortable.
My sister works in a&e incidentally but in paediatrics, she was off shift yesterday, typical! But a few friends of hers were on early this morning and really made things so much better quickly (I had some decent pain relief for a start) no idea what they injected but instant relief.
So I'm ok this morning, had some sleep, and on the mend.
Thankyou to everyone that sent encouragement, advice and hugs I really appreciate it and still need the hugs!!

Just wanted to wish you well and hope you are feeling better this morning. From one lefty to another its terribly hard work trying to lead with the right hand! its so easy to drop socks when carrying the laundry - i do it all the time, you just be careful on those stairs with a poorly wing.

    Feel better soon,

I am glad that you had the cast re-done and that things are feeling a little more comfortable for you, but what a thing to happen. I hope the pain has eased and that the dullers are dong a better job of taking off the edge. DD
