    Hello Tony,

I hope this lovely sunny Saturday sees you in high spirits. I don't know about you but I always find the sun picks my mood. That appt does sound exhausting, so hope you are well rested today. I'm glad you have some answers and hopefully this is the start of things improving for you.

    All the best,
    Sophie :)

Thanks again folks.. It is a lovely day, I'm sat in the car outside another supermarket while Janet gets some shopping.. Had a very slow morning as payback is being her usual bee-hatch self... Lol

I sat and typed out a whole response to all recent questions but my phone died...
Now have it plugged into car charger...

Will see if I remember who asked what... Not much chance really and can't scroll back that easily using the mobile..
    I'll just guess... Haha

Think Cris asked about meds.. Mainly going to be pain relief, presume that the patches will replace the tramadol and paracetamol.. Also assume that I will continue the diclofenic, as I believe that is the anti inflammatory...
Nurse said they don't want to put me on any immu-surpressants, which I'm more than happy about...
DD, apart from some payback from yesterday, I'm doing good hun..
    In a great mood...
It has helped getting the confirmed diagnosis.. At least I can understand why the exhaustion and other bits and pieces..
The golfers elbow was a shock   I just happened to mention my elbows have been aching/hurting on and off, nowt much just every now and then.... Straight away.... Golfers elbow, part of the sero-negative..
    Jo-ann.. Doing good hun thanks...

Thanks again for the messages peeps.....

Oh yes, I'm back to being as daft as Suebo on ganga....:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

I'm still in payback mode for yesterday as it was a long appointment, so everything hurts right now but it depresses me not a jot, for I am the dancing man :lol:

    Hi Tony

Reading all the posts you received, you are a very popular member and very highly thought of.

Sorry it's taken me so long but just wanted to say that I am glad that you got a diagnosis finally and that hopefully with the new meds you will have some pain relief. Hope the pay back is easing now, have a good sunday.

Hi Toni, sounds a very productive appointment. A proper diagnosis, new meds and an ortho referral. Hope this is a turning point for you.

    Speedy
I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Thanks Karen, nice of you to say that hun.. Had a nice evening round at the neighbours, tetley tea brought to me all night, feet up, good company and good chinwag, hands and back not too bad at the minute, knees are slowly settling down.. Cheers

Speedy, yep, quite productive.. I know that it can take a lot longer to get a diagnosis, so I am pleased with that.. Now just need to get a better GP's sorted out, lol..
I wanted to wait until after I had Friday's appointment before changing, but now I think I will just wait until I have the meds changed over so there is nothing else can drag it out..

I sincerely appreciate every msg on here, you are a good bunch of Arthurites

    Hi Tony
I really am pleased for you that you have the right diagnosis, and you'll soon be on the right pain Meds.
My wrist is so so, and elbow not happy but, I'm so glad I started Humira, whether it works is another matter! I feel like I'm moving forward, does that sound daft? It's hard to explain, it's been rough these past couple of weeks with the knee, then the shoulder, then the accident and broken wrist. I need to feel that I'm throwing everything I've got at 'Arfur' and trying anything to stop it doing anymore damage.
Well, I'm prob due more pain meds so off to top up before the wrist kicks in!
Thanks and I really am pleased for you hugs x

    Thanks Popster :grin::grin:
Hopefully this extra depo-doodah injection might help too, that and if the patches work as well as they can then things will be better than they are now, lol... Jesus, imagine how happy I would be pain free   :lol:

Get your meds taken young lady

    Tony

The patches will likley relace your painkillers, but I am allowed to 'top up' if needs be with something else as well. Might be an idea which you can use

Who said you were popular??!! Who??

Not been here long, but Tony we wouldn't be without you would we

    Hi Tony,

Oh pain free..... sadly .... well you know that one  be good though eh? hey almost did it when I had the first pregabalin... mind not so much pain free then as stoned and didn't notice

The patches in my case were yet more add ins but I have to say the jury is out on if I use them again just now

Hope the dm helps, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't but they are always worth a go though.

Fingers crossed you got a better night and the new meds routine will really suit you. Leaving a cuppa and a (((( )))) cris xx

Poppy leaving you an anti-elbow pain draft and a ((( ))) for you as well. xx

When we had a cat my strangest wake up call was the sensation of my eyelids being sandpapered - she was licking them.

Hope you go from strength to strength now, Tony - well, as near as we can manage.

Afternoon mate, you sound like your usual ebullient self again, I hope things have settled after the appointment, they do like to pull one around don't they? I suppose it's entertainment for them. I hope you can get the new pain meds sorted sooner rather than later and that they take off more edge than the current ones. DD

Sorry I am late but I am glad you have been given some more information as to what is going on.
Good luck for Thursday and fingers crossed your meds will be sorted out for you. Let’s hope you hear about the other appointment sooner rather than later.

Hi, I know its good to know what you've got and then you can really call on all your troops and fight it, well those that arn't too busy fighting all the wars we seem to have got into!

I am really glad for you, as I know what you've been through and to some extent, I'm going through now! I don't know about you but although when you've got a diagnosis it helps you make sense of all the pain and stuff. People say whats in a label, it shouldn't make any difference, but somehow it does, to me anyway. So I expect that you'll be dancing at double speed, now!! love Sue xx
