Really sorry things are still not too good generally, but I do hope it all goes well tomorrow and gives you some benefits soon. I know these things can wipe you out so will leave a bucket or two of anti-wished juice, but don't tell Cris cos she needs a bit herself at the mo I know!
Hang in there love and rest up when you get home.

Count me in. I know the inflixi is a bit of a trial for you, wonky, but I do hope that it has been of some use/benefit for you. Fizz and strawberries, anyone? Whaddaya mean, that's not a good breakfast? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Bless you all, thank you for being there for me when I've not been there for you in recent weeks.
Thanks particularly to Cris, who is always so good thinking of others and sometimes forgets to think of herself
the Infliximab is doing some good, but is playing silly too, so I get about 4 good weeks in the middle of the 8, and have to keep readjusting to the not so good bits. All rather challenging when the emotions are involved too. I'm taking hubby with me again, whether the hospital like it or not, because frankly I feel abandoned once they've hooked me up to the drip, and that's scary. I took my own emotional support last time and it helped, so he's coming again today.
I've dressed in my most capaciously pocketed outfit and am so grateful that you're there with me - I can't tell you how much that helps when they're fiddling and faffing and being less than welcoming
As for all the goodies coming with us ....... hubby is very very pleased .... and says he hopes there's enough for him too
Infusion is meant to start at 11 - but on past experience I'll be lucky to be hooked up by 11.45 - then it's 2 hours of drip & an hour waiting after ......... Hopefully be back home by 5 at the latest but will text Cris to let her know when I escape (thanks go to the best PA there is ) & I'll try to pop on later, but may need a sleep first!
hugs to you all and thanks again

Hi wonky
Glad youv'e got large pockets i'll be in one too lots of luckStay positive always👍xx0 -
Hope it all goes well for you, Wonky.
Quite right to take your husband whatever they may or may not want. (Although mine would probably use the time to catch up on his sleep)
Look after yourself. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Late as usual but clambering into pocket right now , thinking of you all day , hope Ra doesn't mind but I have Betsy dog with me too . Jillyb0

Hi All,
Just flying visit to say she is all hooked up, they took their time  and will hopefully be out by 3.
She is so grateful for your support and i know how much it helps as well. So a huge great THANJK YOU! Cris xx
Jilly there is no such thing as late x0 -
It sounds a little like my humira dips, wonky: inject on the Monday when severely grotty, get four-six slightly better days at moderately grotty, then it's a steady decline to severely grotty again.
Tell you what, rest well after this infusion, once the better effect begins to come through do perhaps half of what you feel able and hopefully the better effect will last longer. Sound like a plan? I hope it is all going well and that you are not feeling too bad. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Hi Wonky
as you know l was already in your pocket...right shock that was when this lot started 'plopping' in on top of me
soon be done and away home again.
Love and hugs

Sorry I missed pocket duties Wonky but glad to know that you are done!
I know it wipes you out after - I used to find the same thing - but hope you start to feel the benefit again soon.
Thinking of you.

Hi Wonky, sorry i missed pocket duties too
I hope your now rested & the support helped.
I'll leave you some raspberry buns for later & be quick cause i know Cris likes them too
Take care, debs0 -
Hi Wonkey,
I am sorry that the infusion day is not made more comfortable for you.
Glad it is over for you today and hopefully you will have a peacefully evening together. Go very steady for a few days and I do hope you get to a better balance with the treatment this time.
Hugs,
I x0 -
thank you all sooooooo much
I'm sorry I'm quite late, but I did little more after getting home than have a cuppa before I crawled into bed.
Having been rested, fed (and don't go beating up on my hubby just because he 'only' did beans on toast Cris - it was what I asked him to make! ) and having drunk half of Yorkshire's supply of tea, I feel vaguely more human.
I couldn't have survived today without you all - both 'old' friends and new - and in particular the support of Cris and my hubby. Cris was having an off day herself yet was a sterling PA - so thanks pal & I'll pay you back later this month with PA duties
I'm so glad you all brought your supplies because it turned into a bit of a marathon! having arrived at 11 via car, train and bus, we were sent to the waiting room. Sitting facing a notice advising us that we would be seen in appointment order (there were no others in the room ) and to see reception if we were not seen within 30 mins .... the waiting began. Hubby was all for going to reception at 11.30 but I didn't want a fuss and made him wait 10 more mins before going to reception. Somehow having him and you there I didn't get as worked up as I would have done if I'd been on my own.
Reception told us to go onto the ward, where we sat ..... apparently ignored for another 15 mins, before finally obs were done. No sorry for the wait  tho I can't say I expected one after the last few times anyway, finally hooked up at 12.
I laughed when they unhooked my drip at 2.15 and told me I could go , when I had to tell THEM that I needed to wait an hour before I left
so, the worst is over for another 8 weeks, and littlelegs has hoovered out my pockets in her own special way until the next time.
thanks again to all of you who have posted for me, and I'll hopefully be able to take up some of your suggestions on how to manage this next 8 weeks more sensibly! (thanks DD I think that may just work )
Right ...... hugs all round (of the special cuddly wonky kind) and thanks again
WONky xxxx0 -
Hi Wonky
Good to see you, though I know it may be brief while you stick to the plan and look after yourself please. Jeepers sorry they kept you waiting around for so long, you were right to take hubby for company while the rest of us were munching snacks in your pocket as we do!
Am a bit shattered and read your post too quick so had to laugh that "you finally hooked up at 12"
AND waddya mean you drunk half of Yorkshire's tea supply! I'll be needing a brew myself in the morning I had best hide me teabags I think!
take care Wonky, we don't forget the patented and effective warm wonky hugs. (((( ))))
love
Chris x0
