Well, I heard from Tony, got a text with a lovely pic of him and Mel on - such a lovely couple He was back home and said he might pop on here today but I think him and his missus are pretty tired and have other things to do.

Which is annoying when I'm dying to hear how it all went!!

As my dear friend Nina stated, we are home, rather tired, even though we only had to drive about thirty five miles, much less than poor mell....
So forgive me if I'm not on too long... Needs tetley tea, lol...

We got to the secret rendezvous point early, I was taught to do that in my years as a gurkha.. Know what your escape routes are should you need them
Plus I think that Mell & co might have been held up at the Yorkshire border & strip searched.. We're a bit dubious about Southerners up here.. Not that I had arranged ahead with my colleagues at the border just to stop them, search them, threaten to keep their passports, I would never do such a thing :shock:

As we sat waiting I noticed a small black cloud on the horizon, just about car-sized, with tiny lightening bolts coming from it, heading our way.. I knew that had to be Mells rant cloud.. I recognised the particular type as it looked very much like mine....
I went to the doorway to meet them as their vehicle pulled into the car park... Wish I'd never bothered, horrible people :eek: :eek: :shock: :shock:
I'm kidding......
They were all very nice folks, me & Mell got on very well indeed,a few rants were had, all very mutual ones of course.. At that point our two clouds collided, it was like some kind of super nova... Apparently it was seen in Dubai.. It was so intense it couldn't be seen with the naked eye in the UK...

We had some lovely food, good fun, great laughs... All in all a very good meeting of loons.. Lol
All the wimmin types also got on very well,i think we spent over three hours or so sat gabbing, mostly sensible talk from the wimmin, mostly insane, inane, outright dribble from me n him... Lol

I've asked the very sweet Mrs Lawson to post the one photo I managed to take, apparently we are that much of a force to be reckoned with, physics dictates they're can only ever be one photograph of the two of us in existence at any one moment in time :???:


Hope you are all well and have survived this troublesome time, we both apologise profusely for any inconvenience to your daily lives that this secret get together may have caused.. Thanks to all the tax payers for an excellent security team...

Brilliant - I loved reading your post, Tony and glad you got on so well.

I would have added more detail though, obviously, being a wimmin type - what they looked like, perhaps... shoe styles Still, you can't have everything if you're going to get obsessed with personalities and conversation!

Dear friends, you were warned about the rant pictures, lol..

The rant is a very infectious disease, incurable too... The only way to calm a patient down is to just let them get it out of their system, just keep all fingers etc away from patients mouths during this disturbing phase as biting has been known to occur... :shock: :shock:

I used to do quite a bit of ranting when I was in charge of a class of 30 kids, but I'm all sweetness and light these days

I'm also economical with the truth sometimes

I really cannot picture you every looking that way my dear, lol..

There are some on here that display classic symptoms of this very misunderstood disease... I worry for them deeply... It is a curse..
