Hello Joan, how are things today? It is important that you rest as much as you can so that your body can recover properly from the surgery. Surgery of any sort is a big deal and it can take time to get over - rest is the bestthing. Divert yourself as much as you can with the telly, or reading, or doing puzzles, and I hope the time passes more quickly as a result. DD

You don't go on, Joan, far from it. Any kind of anaesthetic can leave one feeling various degress of grogginess for quite some time after, general is the worst one for that, is that what you had? I must say I love it (and the dopeyness after) but then I am a little odd that way!

I unfortunately missed the bulk of the tennis: I returned from the course, fixed some lunch then I had to prepare for two lessons, so I was listening to it on the radio. That is not quite the same, I wish I could have watched it but never mind, it's Wimbledon soon, so cue downpours and thunderstorms, hail showers and possibly snow, and watching highlights of old matches. It'll be a tennis fix of some sort!

It will go when it's good and ready, but you are doing the right thing in keeping so well hydrated. I am sure you will soon start to feel much more like yourself, and very soon too. I hope your operated foot is not too painful - you are in a better place than this time last week, yes? DD

    Hi Joan
So glad you are on the mend and getting over the op.People are giving the right advice, rest, elevate the foot and drink plenty of water. That's what I was told and did (not always easy when you like to be active).
How are you getting on with the injections now?
    All the best
