Morning everyone

As you are aware our lovely dreamdaisy is atlast going for her orthopeadic appointment later today. I just want to wish her all the best and hope to goodness that this surgeon will see that one or both knees definately need replacing. I think dreamdaisy has suffered long enough.and I am asking if you would like to join me in jumping into her pocket to give dreamdaisy extra support.....AND to glare into the surgeons eyes so that he dare not refuse

Morning all and thank you. I was feeling quite sanguine about today, but now it's here I'm not. :shock: It's a big day, no matter how much I try to play it down this matters, and matters far too much to be healthy.

I am drifting round the house like a fat ghost, picking things up and putting them down somewhere else, staring out the window, just mooching about. I have showered, shaved (witch whiskers too) and moisturised, and am now planning what to wear, which handbag to take and what earrings are required.

I cannot concentrate on anything.

I hope to be back on later with an update but if I cannot frog has offered to PA for me.

Je suis apprehensive. DD

In your pocket and got the some of the employers as well... mine aren't as well trained as Betsy dog but they do a half decent half nelson and re up for bouncing the guy into helping you...... :roll:

With luck you will find your self on a list and flower that would make so much difference to you! Give you back a whole chunk of your former life as well.

Oh DD,
I do know how you feel....what time is the appointment at.....its awful if its a latish one...better to get it over and done with rather than mooch around the way I do.
Just sending you loads of good luck and hope you are OK to get on and post a short note and Toni doesnt have to do it although its nice to know someone will if you feel foggy

OK, I am back and it went pretty much as I thought it would. I am too young, too fat and in too high a risk category for infection due to the PA meds. The too young surprised me, the other two didn't. I have been steadily and slowly losing weight (dropping the steroids has helped that) but diet-wise it has been very gradual as I am trying (and getting closer to succeeding) in altering my eating habits. This is the boot I need to ditch the beer and wine, thus stopping having any treats whatsoever. Water here I come. Whoopee.

As regards the infection risk he explained that I would have to stop the anti TNF and meth for a fortnight before and a fortnight after. **** that for a game of soldiers, two weeks before won't make that much difference to immune system levels, so it will be for a month. I have noted in the past that after two weeks sans meth I have felt considerably better in myself, the same with missing the big H for one dose. It's a no brainer.

He wants to 'do' me (oo-er Missus!) when I am 55. **** that for a game of soldiers too, another three years of this is untenable.

Right, I am off for a curry and some laguar! Way-hey! Total abstinence will begin, but not just yet. We are off to our greatest friends for dinner tomorrow. There will not be a definite day to begin this dreary life (change the attitude Daisy!) but alterations will be made. It's only in my interests, after all.

I am so sorry I missed your appointment, I did want to be in your pocket but some how I've missed it.

You keep your dieting going and you will get there, it will happen. Not now, we know but it will. I wish I could say more but all I can do is send you my love and big hugs of comfort.
