Ah yes indeedy jillyb1, the Roy Grace novels. I have just returned from Sainsbriz with three of his I haven't read, plus three Mark Billinghams! When it's two for £7 temptation is sparked. Happy driving! DD

Getting Daisy onto the drive in one smooth and precise maneouvre. For once the hands, shoulders, neck, wrists, knees and ankles all co-operated and the Parking gods smiled upon me. Utter bliss. DD

Julie, I'm painting a canal scene with boats at the moment, but it will take a while to finish. Here's some I did earlier. They're a bit dark because I photographed them on the wall behind glass, but click on the picture to make it bigger, and they look better.

Happiness is waking on a Saturday thinking it's a Friday, then realising you can lay-in and don't have to go to work... Bliss!!!

    Ya think, tjt? :green

I was ridiculously pleased, I freely admit it, because the ZX was a much bigger car and it was always done in one. Daisy is smaller, and therefore supposedly easier but I guess it's connected to the advance of the ghastly arthritis. I was, and remain, dead chuffed. DD

    You is a norty boy.

A couple of candidates for happiness - starting a new bar of soap and breaking the foil on a jar of coffee. I had the pleasure of both today! DD

PS How was the film, jilly? I hope you enjoyed it.

The film was really good but nowhere near as good as the book ! It was very moving , a few tears shed , but not as involved as the book . Did enjoy going out with the girls and it gave my hubby some time alone too which is rare as he's my carer too . Happiness today is looking forward to the 4th visit this year from elderly auntie ; anyone who knows me will detect the sarcasm here ! Jillyb

...... reluctantly retracing my steps after I reached home and noticed that I had lost my little cardigan that I have had for years and love. There it was on a hedge, someone had picked it up and put it there. I am so happy to have it back.
