Thank you for checking in and catching up with me, dear Julie and dear Barbara. I hope you both have a good weekend too - I shall be pottering and doing a bit of baking for the freezer - just thinking ahead a little.

    Love to you both
    Elna xx

Hello elna, I hope all is as well as it can be with you today. I know you like cooking - the soup I made yesterday comprised potato, onion, smidge of garlic, parsnip and leek. Flavouring was chicken stock, ground black pepper and a shed load of tarragon (dried and 13 months out from its best before!) Admittedly that was a tad musty but once in the soup it was fine! Once all the veg were cooked through I smashed it to bits with the blender and added milk to improve its colour and slightly thicken it. I have the remains for my lunch today. Yum-yum.

We went out last night but have since fallen out. It's a tad frosty in this household at the moment. DD

Hi DD, I hope you enjoyed your left over soup today. I also hope that you have made up with Mr. DD and harmony reigns once again in the household.
