Poppyg1rl could use a few positive thoughts please

As many of you know, Poppyg1rl has had a very tough time of things lately. I won’t bother to catalogue all the arthritic rubbish she has had put up with while always being here to support others. She now has a rotator cuff injury in her shoulder, her meds have been upped yet again and she has also been told she must use a wheelchair. Her OT is coming out next week to sort one out for her.

As you can imagine, Poppy is feeling pretty low right now but not wanting to ‘do the self-pity thing’. I’m not sure Poppy would recognise the self-pity thing if she fell over it but I’m pretty sure she would welcome a few positive vibes right now.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks for letting us know s/w

Poppy, you are one brave lady and I so wish you weren't going through such a bad time.

No-one here believes you need pity ...but we all need support when things get difficult. and the one thing the forum folks do well is to support one another. (as you yourself frequently do for others  xx)

It may have come as a shock to be told you need a wheelchair ... but I know from my own experience that it can be a godsend as it means you will rest your joints and still be able to get out and about. :!:

Sending you my very best, hand- polished positive vibes...

    ((((hugs too))))

    Hi Poppy,

I am so sorry to hear this Poppy, I am mustering as many positive thoughts as I can and sending them your way. You will find your way through this, you are strong, redoubtable, and riddled with courage. DD

Poppy I am so sorry. You know I'm not too far away if you need anything. I know what it is like to be laid low by arthritis.

Thankyou all of you, I'm in tears reading this.
I can't get my head around it all at the moment, enbrel isn't doing what we hoped, my shoulder is causing relentless pain and my poor toes are discoloured with the swelling and pain, hence the wheelchair.
Thanks for your kindness, hugs and support, I am very humbled and grateful X

Morning Poppy. How are things today? I hope you're taking things as easy as possible. Please don't push yourself. Nearly weekend. Then you can let those men of yours take over.

    Hi Poppy,
I was so sorry to hear things have gone pear shaped again for you. I do hope the increase in meds although unwelcome help with the relentless pain in your shoulder.

Your poor toes sound just as painful and I do hope that this weekend will bring a little more comfort with lots of TLC coming from your family.
    Gentle hugs flower,

Hi, I'm glad to know that you are getting support from everyone, looks like I am one of the last to send you bucket loads of love and good wishes. You have always been their for me and the lots of the others, so its your turn to have some loving support now!
I am so sorry that you are not so good at the moment, but hope that you will soon be feeling a lot better and coping well. I know it must be hard for you to accept, but once used to the wheel chair, with luck, you should find it makes some things easier and helps you have more life. Lots of love Suexxx (((())))

I am so sorry to read that you are going through a very bad patch with one thing and another. I too have a massive torn rotator cuff so I do know the pain that brings for sure. Physio did help me a little. Take all the help offered you by your family, friends and the OT.

I do hope that you feel a little better and brighter soon. Thinking of you,

    Love and gentle hugs
