Skezier, I love him. We can't all have perfect bodies and, I have to say, as bodies go, his is so much prettier than mine. Plus, he looks sweet which I don't.

If splints help then try to insist on splints. I know insisting is tough when they've worn away all your self-confidence but have a crack at it anyway. You deserve better and we all know that.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Cris, I think he is lovely he looks like he has long white socks on and i am amazed he manages to keep them clean.. Maddie never keeps her feet clean yesterday they were Green... she decided to help Bob cut the grass.. Well Bob cuts the grass and she runs round barking at the lawn mower. Oh and she managed to roll in something so she is all stinky..
I will spare you the smell of her today and send her alone tomorrow (ps i have been treaching her to crochet so just before you pass out don't worry if you smell something awful and see a shiny black nose.)

I think you should insist that they give you the splints it is the least they can do and perhaps you need to burst into tears just to let them know the effect of their decisions.

We will all be with you giving you extra courage and support.

    Love Tracey
(Maddie is in discrace for being stinky)

    Hi Chis,

Well I do hope the trust is taken over by someone, they couldn’t do a worse job than they have got now. Lets hope the rumours are true.
Did you ever contact the OT department? They would give you the splints I think.
Yes the rheumy should do something to help I know he is very kind to you but a bit of a push would not go a miss eh?
Oh Cris tell him how the palliative comment has hurt you so. He might well sit up and think more positively about your treatment.

Now this sparkle thread of Julie’s I think we might have the beginnings of a plan going here! I’ll just go and dig out my best purple rubber gloves. Do we need a field tent?

Sorry but I am in love with Teg, he has that just got up look and slightly tatty hair thing going. Yep he will fit in quite nicely. Where do I sign

    Hugs as always,

    Dear Cris,

Well, I can't see a photo of a grot pony, Teg is gorgeous. I don't know much about pony's but he looks fine to me and he is all yours. Don't let him hear you calling him a grot pony, p-l-e-a-s-e.

I do hope you get a good appointment on Thursday, dear Cris and that the rheumi can help you out, even if only a little but hoping he can help you loads.

    Lots of love
    Elna x

    Hi Joan,

You ups for a bit of hard labour? We do have to get the rest of the coats off and do feets as well... Wish special needs hers doing.....

Hope you and Sue are ok and leaving a ((((( ))))) and a hope that foot is ok? xx

    Hi Sticky,

Hot up there today... corrugate and sun... ideal sun trap

You had a hard time keeping bre inside the fence today as well.... she said she isn't used to being in a small paddock and wants the whole lot asap

He does have a degree of charm and bless him he is sweet..... but a grot pony for sure..... Haz got his special suit on and a slurped cuppa..... xx

    Hi Tracey,.

Maddie was about aging today... its odd I keep seeing a westie eh? She some clever

Disgusting smelly dogs are part the course here.... Slurps got a thing about yucky duck pond water and haz... well if is disgusting he will roll in it.... and with the lodgers and the foxes to say nothing of the sheep he usually can find something horrible every day.....

Hope things are ok with you flower and leaving a ((((( ))))) and a cuppa xx

    Hi I,

I think a field tent is bit of a must really otherwise we might get employers or lodgers helping  I just think they would make lousy surgeons really

So we have the stankly knife, the wonderful sparkly thread and some very nice best rubber gloves.... I got a table and its sunny today so come on lets get rid of the alien.....

Promise I will ask about the splints again... that much he could do under the palliative thing eh? I can't talk to him about the impact that word has had cus I don't want to upset him and he is the kind of person who would be upset if he realized... but I so hate hearing it...

The pa isn't under control, my arms are disfiguring and they wont treat me... Its not fair is it or maybe I am being over sensitive?! Other people get treatment ... well not here of course

The trust was taken over yesterday by a private non profit making company.... they can't make it worse!

Maybe they will re[pair the theaters that are out eh?!

Hope your ok flower and leaving you a sheep soaked ((((( ))))) and a bucket of decent days. xx

    Hi Elna,

Here he is again and bless him he has a very sweet personality but .... still a grot pony  He might make 14 hands though so he nearly will be a horse

    http://i1011.photobucket.com/albums/af2 ... C03587.jpg

Sadly the lodgers are not mine... I would love to be able to buy 3 especially but their owner wanted unrealistic prices for them..... and they are his best 3

Maybe I am a snob

Lovely to see you back and so hope your feeling ok? ((((( ))))) and a cuppa. xx

    Hi Toni,

He has a sweet face and be honest his mum isn't the prettiest is she..... lovely though and a pony..... Dad is horse so....

His bum is so big as he is growing and the withers are the last thing to come up.

Bre said she is getting friendlier by the day and when are you coming to see her again  ((((( ))))) a cuppa and a flake. xx

Right i shall drag this useless hulk out and get that door off and fixed... I should also check bre is indoors cus there is no sign of her and I hope she ain't out in the fields cus the fence battery is in need of a change........

(((Cris))), I have wrist splints and they are really useful, I think giving you those is the least they can do. Ask to speak to OT for a referral, they are brilliantly helpful usually.

I really feel for you, its a disgrace the way you have been left. I wonder if things will change with the new company??

Izzy says her feet don't reach the pedals, but she will sit on the front seat and eat your picnic if you don't mind. Greedy madam, she likes your snacks

You are in my thoughts as always

    Hi Suzy,

Bless her Izzy can have the picnic if she wants  The alien is kicking a bit just now......

She can also help me keep an eye on bre and the fence..... She is magic that sheep you know.

Wish is just taking court in the doorway

I will ask about the splints cus my left arm is too full of fluid and the borrowed ones have already helped with that to a point.... I just find the other one makes it feel more comfortable.

I will also beg for steroid jabs into wither the elbows or the wrists and preferable both..... they drain some fluid out as well if he would....

Might see his side kick and she is going to be harder to get the drip off but maybe better for some arm treatment.....

Will see on wednesday eh? Just hope we don';t have yet another heavy convo about the state of my circulation..... Hugs to you Suzy and Izzy has some of those tubs that start with a S  A change from the sachets eh?

Thanks for being there. Love Cris xx

Hey skezier, we'll all be there on Wednesday - maybe with a few banners saying 'WE WANT SPLINTS - and other stuff'. I don't know anything about elbow splints but I know my wrist splints made it so that, when the bones all fused together, they fused with the wrist straight which is by far the most useful position. Mind you, in the early days, they made me night splints of plaster of paris held on by crepe bandages and, every time I turned over in bed, I was in danger of knocking Mr SW out.

I must remember that line about Teg's bum being big because he's still growing. Do you think folks'll believe that's why mine's big? I'm only 65.

    Hi Cris,
The trust has been taken over, wonderful, fantastic! Well I hope they get there skates on and get on with things without too many teabreaks and focus groups. But the main thing there is hope..yeah!!!

Right a tent it is then, but I have a feeling Bre will have worked out how to unzip the flaps before we finished the pre op cuppa’s and bikkies!

I hope you see the main man on Wednesday and you get the jabs and the drip sorted out.

    Morning Cris

    You ready for tea yet?

I'll be with you on Wednesday and I'm prepared to kick that consultant in the shins if he doesn't listen to you properly and give you the splints that you now know help your wrists. :!: and please don't spare the consultant's feeling by not telling him that his 'palliative care' comment did have such a negative effect on you. :!: he needs to know what he says has a huge impact on his patients. :!:
Please do ask for a referral to OT because they will provide you with day and night wrist splints (these are made-to-measure and are now made of some kind of moulded resin)..... and elbow night splints too (which are called jet splints if I remember correctly  )

love and strength...and more tea of course!

Hi Sticky, Rose, I, Val, Berty, Iris and Julie,

Odd kinda day and hope you all had better? Had this brain wave I could extend the electric fenced off area so Bre would feel less need to walk about like a caged animal..... she knows there are fields beyond cus she has been in them!

It was horrible in the end.... had to keep bending and in the end found t easy to just crawl to get the wire off to re do it......

Th the weather became more seasonal and colder but well what do we expect tis October after all......

The arms are so bad, swollen and they are not up for much so a good time to see a rumo even if I already know he will do nothing.... except be nice......

Sticky you get that chant going flow cus I am terrible at asking for anything..... I must though cus the right hand likes the splint and the left one would if it wee less swollen....

My wrists have a lack of dexterity and the left one can't even pretend to turn the palm up... the right is getting bad at it so they must be fusing them selves to come degree? i assume thats what they are up to cus its what my back did and that fusing nicely.....

Hey Teg said he will vouch for the bum being higher cus he is growing..... Sluprs had your dinner and now has your tea.. she said you got them?!?

Haz is having on the suit.... xx

Rose as if I would or ever have sheep rustled...... They would be a good idea eh?! They need a lot more than just tubigrip now and well I know from the borrowed ones those help!

Tea and a hope your ok there? xx

I Will have to be the tent..... and love thee idea that we have a chance of keeping the employers out... they really can't do needlework to well.......

Flower it will take some time for any improvements to filter through and who know if the new lot will be any better? Just know they can not be worse.....

Hope you had a reasonable day and life is being ok to you? xx

Val ta for the pocketing and please keep the sheep out the hamper cus they come back thinking thats what their dinner should be from now on.....

    Hope your ok? xx

Berty You be careful and don't stamp Ned... he may not like it. Is he behaving ok though this time?

I hope the cooler weather has helped your brace now as well? Leaving a Ned be goo draft and a cuppa xx

Iris Oh I am s bad at asking.. this palliative care thing is even worse in writing and has been the last 4 letters.....

Its the end, no more hope of any help other than what I have and thats not doing the job... I won't get funding I wont get the anti's and if I did by some miracle get one it would have to work cus there wouldn't be another for sure. Doc H wont fight so I got sidelined and it does hurt.....

Silly after so long being left to rt you would think I was ok with it but i just ain't.

The splints he could do but will ot bother cus they didn't want to see me last time when the gp asked them,..... I didn't push that either cus I am useless... will fight other things folks but never my self...

Promise though will say something about the state of the arms....

Hey good to see you and sending the evil one my very best glare  xx

Julie Purple is good eh?! Its going to look so good and it would be so nice to rid of this alien once and for all... hey I will have the results soon so you never know it might be favorably to having it taken out.....

You lot would be a much better team though so lets just surprise the gastro

Hope your ok flowr and leaving tea and a hope xx

    Hi Cris

Sorry having trouble catching up with all this, but damn them and their palliative care!! I will be in a pocket on Wednesday and prodding you to get bolshey when the time is needed.

So sorry you feel so sidelined and I just wanted to call in and top up the courage, stamina and hugs buckets. Along with a decent brew of course.

    OH Cris

if you don't ask about the wrist splints and the OT referral (and follow up on it) you'll feel a hefty kick from several pockets ...... repeatedly ....... until you do!

you are so very much worth good treatment - and you shouldn't be afraid to ask about what you need.

I''m already in your pocket, as are the other two members of the household, so be warned

    Hi Chris and Wonky,

Tis so good to see you both... ind my yes are not doing the seeing too well and again I have to apologies cus I don't see what the spell check is recommending

I know I have to say something but 1st on the agenda has to be the drip and can I have it back for thwe winter months only....

the tablets are not doing the job and I just want some real actual help.....

That was the 5 year old with-in but it feels like I really am just let to rot.

Anyway after a heavy convo over the state of my blood vessels I don't known as I will have much left to go for the arms but they hurt and they are getting a problem and the wrist splint helps the right one to the point it actually likes it! The left did as well but now its so swollen if doesn't like anything...

maybe they could get some fluid out of it .... only it has the oa in there as well as the pa and it will depend in which is dong what as to if the rumo will help....

Hey Wonky I can see Miss L Legs will be needed with her best stare and glare costume on

Chris poke gently... cus all of me hurts another thing I must mention.. the ribs and sternum which might be the alien.....

Too much garbage to get in the way again...... gives him the out every time.....

Love to you both and some bestest saffron and cream  ((((( ))))) and good to see you both for real. Cris xxx

    Hi Cris
I'll be thinking about you tomorrow my lovely friend  . Do we have a time for the appointment? I may have missed it on an earlier post ... or may have been in a bit of a dwam when you said.

Been thinking more about your appointment. Perhaps you could decide what the absolute priorities are that you need him to consider :?: ... sometimes you get a better response from the consultants by presenting a short list... at least that's what I find.
:???: helps in two ways... helps the docs focus and means you don't have to rely on memory (if like me- the memory usually lets me down as soon as I step over the threshold :!: )

You definitely deserve treatment and should not just be left aside :!:

will be with you ready to pounce at a moments notice.
    strength and more (((hugs)))
