    Hi Cris,
Sorry about the mud pit they certainly do churn the stuff up dont they. Good that you are feeling slightly more human today. Not sure how you will be if you tackled the chicken shed today. Pity someone doesn’t want the manure for their garden...free to collect.

I hope the overdue OT appointment comes through soon, I am sure they will help you with the splints. Take a deep breath and ask for anything that is on offer, at least you will be on the list and hopefully they will have regular contact with you. I am finally getting the Iso thingy gloves later this month and I am sure they will help my hands but I had to ring them up to remind them that I was still waiting.
    Hugs as always,

Don't you dare apologise, skezier. You fight that poor body of yours long and hard to get it do stuff. It's bound to just refuse altogether sometimes to get its own back.

I have loaded haz up with a large pack of Bone & Muscle Lightener, a Total Body Relaxant and Happy Dreams potion, guranteed to make you wake up feeling like a very unarthritic 6 year old. You can also have all my tea as I seem to have had a personality change and actually prefer water right now. Plus a few of these ((((( )))))

    Poor old Cris

well l am ready to PA as necessary....l do know that typing hurts a fair bit at the moment. The arms neck and shoulders do NOT like this position and of course you can't type really any other way

What l do know is that you pop in and see what is on your thread if you can most days and check that all those who matter to you are ok if you can.

Will check in later by text and post if needed

    Love and HUGE hugs

Hi Cris, is it worth a phonecall to OT to chase the appt up?? Just in case your referral has been waylaid???

Izzy thanks you for the sachets, she is especially appreciative of a treat as she has been indoors due to her dislike of fireworks. She has kept us awake whizzing round the house, jumping and playing!!

I wish you could get comfortable to get a proper nights rest, I like the potions you have been sent. Let us know if they work.

Sending you positive vibes, a massage for muscles, and a heat wrap. Hot chocolate in a flask and a nip of the hard stuff to keep out the cold.

    HI all

tis Wonky PA this time

Cris managed a quick look into the site, but really has done something to aggravate the neck, which is making typing (and quite a few other things) just about impossible right now. Many of you will know that Cris is not one to give a quick reply either, which can mean that she gets drawn into typing more than she anticipates or is advisable! (I know that feeling very well  )

I for one am very glad that she has recognised that typing isn't helping her right now, and has decided that she must really try to help the neck and arms recover somehow.

Cris, being Cris, is worrying though, and asked me to let you all know that she is very grateful for all your kind messages, and very sorry that for now she can't be on the site as she would wish, especially for the unanswered PMs. She hopes you'll understand that typing is just not possible right now.

I think Cris has plans to get an ortho opinion on the neck having never had/been allowed one .... so here's hoping that the GP thinks as we do that it would be a good idea, and that the ortho can help!

Cris's PAs will update as and when we can.

    hugs

I have had words with our lovely Cris...and she has agreed to let me type for her
Has you may know...bless her she is in such a lot of pain , especially her neck, has you may have read she can wake up paralysed with it, so she has a dilemma that she needs advice on
She has seen to Docs, and she say they are very nice, and they have said if it were there neck they wouldn't let a surgeon near it, now she is wondering dose she go against what they are saying and see a ortho surgeon to see what they say..at the risk of upsetting the others...or does she go with there word...not an easy one ...but she really needs our help
And she says a big thankyou to everyone of you....and send loads of slurps and hugs ((((())))

    Hi Barbara,

What a good scribe you are along with the PAs too - is the salary good??

I think there's no harm in Cris seeing a surgeon - it doesn't mean to say she'll be committed to having an operation but she will know what options are open to her.

Send her hugs from me and tell her there's no need to reply as she must look after herself first. (((( ))))

    Dear Barbara

Bless you, liaising with us, for dear Cris.

I am wondering if Cris has had an mri on her neck recently. If not, I would have thought this is the first port of call. It is all very well the gps giving their view but do they know what is going on in Cris's neck for sure? A gp cannot authorise an MRI as I understand it. Cris would have to be referred to a consultant who would do this I am sure as he would wish to have all the facts before going further with any kind of firm diagnosis and what the options are.

I'm with the others, skezier. seeing the ortho commits you to nothing. In addition to getting his/her opinion - and maybe a scan - you can also use the opportunity to size him up (Purely for surgical reasons  ) and see how much confidence you'd have in him, given it sounds not the most obvious op to do.
