I doubt you will be looking in dorcas, but I will write this as though you are.
Hello, gorgeous girl! It's great to hear you are home safe and sound and I hope you and the new bit had a peaceful night together. There is nothing quite like one's personal bed, is there? If your twister is there please send her my regard but you get hugs and love. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Bless your PA’s for the updates,
Welcome home Iris,
Nothing like being in your own bed and hopefully a proper cuppa and bickkie was consumed when you got back to the homestead.
I know your lovely sister will be watching over you so you are in the best of hands.
Welcome to what’s’ his name I am sure he will make the trio up nicely with TT and dear Wally.
I cannot tell you how pleased I am that you are home and on the road to recovery.
Gentle hugs,
Lv, I x0 -

Hello all you lovely, lovely people
A big THANK YOU to Cris and Wonky for being such good PAs .... and to all of you for your messages l... it really helped me :!:
My new knee is called Bubba (name just came to me when they took the dressings off and I saw him)..... because he is a big lad with a wonky metal smile and struck me as a bit of a gentle giant compared to TT and Wally..... he has a lot to learn in his new family role but already feels strong and safe to use.
The op itself went really well... as Cris said I was allowed to try a spinal, even though I'd had previous back surgery, with great results. I felt..... not the merest pain or discomfort :!: ... a bit of pulling and pushing , yes but that was all. Back in the ward after 3hrs and ready for tea and toast and a blether with my roomies.
I would definitely have the next knee done the same way. ........and if anyone else is considering a spinal I'd say 'go for it'
Feeling better for being at home and am being well looked after by my older sis Pati for 2 weeks..... which is great.... plus my twister, daughters and sons. bless them all!
Managing well on two sticks and religiously 'doing' the exercises (exactly the same ones Legs posted on her thread ) .... and I am very positive about the whole TKR experience.
Hope to look in later..... thanks again everyone.

Good Morning Iris and Good Morning Bubba
(down south Bubba can be an affectionate term....like baby, bab or babes - so as he is a good newbie l agree very apt!)
Fabulous to see you posting and sounding so very upbeat
This gives me a great start to the day.
Thanks too to Cris and Wonky...they have been great PAs haven't they - you chose wisely
love

Lovely to hear from you Iris, isn't it wonderful to be the right side of the op, back home and progressing well. Enjoy the time with your family all running around helping and spoiling you whilst you do your exercises and rest too.
I can see that you and Bubba will become the greatest of friends, but it may take a while. Rome was not built in a day.

Morning Dorcas, Bubba, Wally, TT, twister & sister, daughters & sons. (Phew! I think I’ll go for a lie down after that!)
This is great news. I’m so pleased all has gone well. I knew that, being an old hand at ops, you’d be exercising dutifully and getting Bubba going. Two sticks is good. Proud of you. Don't overdo it.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Iris
Love the name bubba , I am so pleased that you are recovering well and managing to do your exercises and walking with your sticks.
