    ...... it is Friday
Two days with hubby at home.
The sun is shining and I slept well last night.

(It does not take much to make me happy )

 No wonder you are happy today  - you will really enjoy that curry and beer. Good for you both, for sticking to the detoxing for 33 days.

I decided to resurrect this thread because the 3 positive thoughts ‘to rewire my brain’ aren’t enough today. Since writing them I’ve just spent a happy afternoon peeling potatoes  .

Yes, well, I needed to peel twice as many as usual and they were at least half as small as usual. A tiresome, boring job, so I enlisted the help of a CD of ‘songs of my youth’ that our 2 sons had compiled for our 40th wedding anniversary party 4 years ago.

It provided the twin joys of the music of my misspent youth coupled with the remembrance of a lovely day and the work the lads put into compiling both the CD and a memory stick of suitable (and, in some cases, most unsuitable  ) photos for the digital photo frame.

    Best potato peeling session yet.

My son Jack telling me that after appearing on Stargazing live last night by Skype to ask Prof Brian Cox a question about quantum physics, he got a round of applause at school from his A level Physics classmates

 The ticket guy on the train asking me who I had stolen my senior rail card from :lol: (he must have forgotten his glasses!) and acting out Cinderella and Snow White, doing puzzles, playing schools, dancing, ballet, vets and reading books with my 3 year old grandaughter . I am happily exhausted. Hubby meeting me from the station to help me walk home.

I have just walked to the loo, using a zimmer, and it didn't take 10 minutes to get there. (Hip tendonitis. Looks like it's on the mend. Yippee!)

More good news! :P my lovely hubby has just surprised me with the news that he has bought me a fabulous brand new scooter, i have never had one before, and as my wheelchair has been out of action recently, i've felt a bit down, and it has been a struggle.
So you can imagine my surprise and excitement when i got an email tonight saying my new scooter will be delivered tomorrow yay! :D Xxx

I bought a new kitchen tap and sink from Ebay.
My old tap is so temperamental - turn it on and nothing happens, turn it a bit more and it comes over the edge of the sink and soaks your belly! So annoying :)
I have got a very good price for a granite sink, had one before in the other house and I loved it.
Looking forward to (hubby) starting doing the kitchen up, just need worktops now.

Spent a few hours on the prom watching the waves crashing onto the beach ; always makes me forget any aches or other woes . It's relaxing just quietly sitting by the sea , guaranteed to make me feel happy . Jillyb

Due to a power cut from 7am, until nearly 1 pm had to have a change of plan, so as the weather was dry and cheerful we pruned the large tree in our front garden and discarded all the cut up pieces into the green wheelie bin. :D Also cleared out 6 boxes of stuff from the loft by recycling or binning it. :D
