Herman (the sourdough German friendship cake) arrived most unexpectedly this morning, along with instructions!
It is a lovely way to share
I shall pass some of the mixture to my neighbour in a couple of days.

Hi Barbara
http://www.hermanthegermanfriendshipcake.com/
Lucie and Lola called round with "Herman" Lola has carefully been stirring Herman each day for 7 days including today. I now continue with the instructions.
I had a day like you had today when I met my friend on Monday for lunch - good isn't it?
Love

So excited! as we've passed phase 1 of the building of my observatory in the back garden tomorrow I've got my family and friends over for the day to help us construct the wooden base, as a reward I'm providing homemade pizzas and garlic bread :P'grá agus solas'

Mr DD and me went to Felixstowe and saw the sea. It didn't look that inviting but it sounded lovely. We also went to the St Jude's Brewery pub (which is not as pleasant as the one in Ipswich) but a pint of Wherry's Once Bittern always goes down well. I too like Saturdays, Georgie, and the best time on that day is 10am. The week-end has just begun, it still has Sunday to go - bliss!
