    Hello everyone :D

Thank you so very very much for all your kind wishes thoughts and prayers.

They are definitely working l think

    We are now HOME :D

Lucy starts phase 2 of her treatment on Monday. She will go in daily to the ward and have her bloods monitored first (the last lot of chemo gave her acute liver injury) and then start the next lot of chemo IV. There are 2 kinds if I remember rightly and during this phase 3 intrathecals too and at least one bone marrow test.

Home is going well thanks to the wonderful team of Ots and Physios who have sorted out all sorts from bed blocks to extra stair-rails....quite useful for me too

We've also got some 'walkie-talkies' so she can call me for help including the bathroom because she has had a few falls :(

Take care all of you and thank you again

    love and (((())))

    Hi Toni and Lucy
That's fantastic news that you are both home
OT's seemed to have excelled themselves.....its true Toni I'm sure you will find some things useful. I remember the time an OT came and insisted I have a second rail on the stairs....we are open plan and I did not want it but she insisted, said because of my spinal problems I wasn't steady enough.....they are great I have to admit.
That's sad about the liver injury but I did pick up on acute so that's not so bad I suppose.
Lots of love and prayers winging their way to you both

    Love
    Hileena

    Thank you

Suzy, Christine, Marie ,Toady, Joan, Hileena and Numpty :D

Ots ARE fabulous aren't they? Safety first eh? She's just so wobbly!

I googled (naughty Toni) the liver injury in conjunction with the particular chemo which is suspect and it reckons after that it should NOT be tried again

I hope they have a plan B just incase eh?

Lucy has had a lovely weekend so far. Today a LAD  is coming (a friend I am assured, but it's the same one who came to the hospital and stayed 4 hours  ). She looks pretty good in her wig with one of her THREE rolled brim bowler hats on.

Take care everyone and please wish us luck for tomorrow :?

    love

    Toni xxx

    That will keep her spirits up wont it {friend or b/friend what does it matter}
What about her other friends are they still about?
All the luck in the world for tomorrow and you know my prayers are with you both

I'm not surprised Lucy is wobbly. Even staying in bed for a few days can do that and she has been through quite a bit on top but she will get there in the end. I have no idea about chemo but I know the liver is very good at repairing itself. It is a bad idea to google these things but we all do it. I've been told off a few times. So Lucy has a boy visitor today. He must think a lot of her if he stayed for 4 hours. I think young girls look good in hats. Bet Lucy looks really pretty. Don't you find that people who lose their hair look extra pretty? Wish you all the luck in the world for tomorrow.

 I'm late. I'm late. (I sound like the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland  ) but I'm soooooo pleased you are both home even if much toing and froing will be involved. I do hope things go smoother from now on. You've both been through so much but you've cope brilliantly. What a pair! My fingers remain crossed. And my admiration knows no bounds.(((())))

Hey Toni! I expect Lucy's body is feeling wobbly after what her bodies been through, Oooohhhh Lucy may have a young man in her life! If it makes her happy then why not, as long as he doesn't break her heart if he does that then he will have the whole AC forum on to him and that's worse than having Danny Dyer & Ross Kemp after you!!! :o We all end up googling medical stuff we can't help it! As long as you take it with a pinch of salt.....Plan B, I'm sure they have!! Hope everything goes well today will have my fingers crossed.
