It's bittersweet good news, she's had the all clear to begin the chemo on Monday as her bloods are looking good so she is waiting to hear from the senior drug trial nurse for details of the appointment. She has just enjoyed a bacon roll in Sainsbriz! :D DD

Yes, our idea of what constitutes 'good' does change in such circumstances but, as chemo is essential, I'm pleased it can now happen. ((( ))) mig.

Thank you for keeping us updated, DD.

Mig, you are a warrior woman and I’ve always been in awe of your stoicism. We are all here for you if you want to cry or rant in the way you are always here for others.
I’m pleased you’re being well looked after. Take care and we are all by your side. ((( )))

Right, the first chemo session is booked for Wednesday, it starts at 8.15am and will last for between seven and eight hours. The second one will be shorter, running from 9am for four to five hours but I do not know on which day. She has booked herself in at the hairdresser's on Monday for a good trim.

    It's really happening. DD

Hello Kathleen, no I don't, she didn't go into details and I did not want to pressure her by asking questions. I know she is trying something new so that may be part of the reason why it's a long process; on a different note when I had infusions of an anti-TNF the first ones were always slow.

She had another good night's sleep last night, hooray! She is seeing family tomorrow, they are going out for lunch which sounds like a very good plan. DD

DD - thank you for keeping us updated so well on Mig's progress.

Mig - I hope everything Wednesday onwards goes as smoothly as possible. I'll be thinking of you. And I'll also be - very quietly - in your pockets for the duration.

    Take care.

You're not going to sing, Barbara? I was looking forward to your unique rendition of 'I will Survive' which, back in the days of forum outings, you would let rip with after one too many shandies

The family have had some good news (privacy being considered here so I won't say owt, Mig might post in the cafe) and she is looking forward to her lunch.

I appreciate the thanks for the updates, of course I wish I wasn't having to do them but we know our girl and care about her very much. DD

Well I'm going to sing, and right now. b010.gif"For she's a jolly good fellow, yes she's a jolly good fellow. So she's a jolly good fellow, dear mig and DD too." c075.gif

I got Barbara to join in too, by putting a bottle in her hand.

    Hi Mig,

Good work on the calcium, proud of you, then getting home, eating exactly what you want and enjoying family, just what you need. Good news too, fantastic.

Good luck next week, we mods will be hiding in the cloak too, I’ll bring the hot chocolate, I love hot chocolate, lots for everyone!

Love from the mod team & Yvonne xx

Hello, I haven't heard from her, neither have I been in touch (a little space can be a good thing) but I will text her soon and, if there is any news, I will report back.

Joan, you are a good friend and a love, Sue too. DD

I have heard from her, she is sorting stuff out with her GP surgery (who have not been involved as yet) and then going to a knit and natter session for coffee. I don't know about her but my apprehension levels are rising . . . . DD
