Thanks for popping in yesterday, MIg, I apologise for being AWOL but there was a good reason. I shall also be AWOL again today. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

You're a good m,ate, mig Would you believe, I've never tried an Irish whisky? My favourites are Islays. Can't beat the taste of peat and antiseptic But, you know me, I'll happily try anything.
I hope today has been a better one after the hectic week you had. A bit of peace and quiet wouldn't go amiss, eh?

Morning Mig's Mob, I have some news and it's not of the best. She has a dreadfully sore mouth, tongue, gums, the roof of her mouth and even into her ears but no temperature or infection; it has to be the chemo doing what it does. Glumly yours, DD.Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
-
Ouch and ((( )))
Either the chemo or the trial drug(s). I trust mig will get in touch with her hospital team and they will, hopefully, come up with a remedy. One thinks of sickness and hair loss but not this. Gently does it, mig, and much love.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
Steven Wright0 -
That sounds like chemo to me, unless they make the placebo do this. I couldn't even use Bonjela! Lots of ice cream works though. You usually see your onco after every session to let them know what side effects you've had, so they can provide relief. ((((((gentle hugs mig)))))) t69044 t69044 t69044 t69044 t69044 t69044

Hello to Mig's Mob Members, I have a small update. She is as she was yesterday and has spoken to a nurse; she is being referred to a dietician first before she next sees the doctor. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
-
I do hope the dietician can help. In my book a tweak of diet is always better than yet more meds.
Good luck, mig!If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks DD
Sending lots of love Mig..and hope that things gets easier very soon.. t4591 t115006 t4591Love

Good morning my fellow MMMs, I have heard from Mig. She is not much better and is struggling to make decisions - anyone else not surprised by that? She is determined to cope though, this woman is not a snowflake; she wouldn't know how or where to start that nonsense. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
-
Thank you DD
. Mig thinking of you I know it can be hard but you are a hard nut you don't crack(((((()))))
. joan xxtake care
joan xx0 -
DD and Joan, you are both spot on. Our Mig is definitely a hard nut that cancer will not crack. In fact, she can be a total nutter at times (Mig, I hope you're reading this ) Definitely not a melting snowflake.
Mig, I send much love and a spot of coolth for that sore mouth. You're not fighting this alone. ((( )))
As ever, thanks, DD.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Gentle hugs Mig, I hope that your mouth is less sore - let's hope the dietician and oncology team can come up with a plan asap. Thoughts and prayers are with you to add to all the strength and support from everyone here on the forum t4591 t4591XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0
