Difflam mig one of the mouthwashes was difflam. It sort of numbs the area and is super disinfectanty (new word!)

Helps with mouth ulcers. Mouth ulcers are a sign the chemo is working I think the nurses used to reassure the kids.

    Love and ((()))

Hello, no change to report, she is about to take today's meds and is being her usual stoical self. I wonder if I would be so calm? I hope I never have to find out. DD

PS. Hello dibdab, I am still in the process of recovering: it wasn't just the long day of the birthday, it was the days of preparation too which have taken their toll: it's amazing what adrenaline can achieve but when it runs out . . . .

Oh yeah Toni, I remember my chemo group members having Difflam but my Onco never gave it me. I had to buy it. .

You are doing so well, stoic is a good word but how about Superstar! Hope the mouth eases a little and that the intestines remember their job very soon

Hello everyone, we have not been in touch much over the weekend; she is still waiting for the medical TNT to explore but these things take time, don't they? Apart from that I think she is doing as OK as can be expected. DD

Hi Mig, I am hoping that required medical strength medicines are "working" and that your mouth is less sore.
Diflam is very good, as is Biotene. Ones with no alcohol in at all.

Hello Joan, I hope all is as well as it can be with you and the lovely Sue.

Nothing has happened to relieve Mig's discomfort and she is now in a great deal of pain. She is going to the hospital and I will check in with her later. Yesterday family went round and cleaned the house for her, superbly practical help methinks. DD

It is and will help but I'm sure the main thing right now is her plumbing. Such things can make us utterly miserable not to mention in a great deal of discomfort. I hope it's sorted soon. She has quite enough to deal with without that.

There might be some help on the Macmillan page, or Maggies https://www.maggiescentres.org/ If she can manage it, there is a Maggies Centre at her hospital. It's the building that looks like a green apple. XXXX

She texted from the hospital, no enemas or suppositories due to low white blood cell count, instead she has been given four laxatives to take and some fluids so fingers' crossed summat happens soon. DD

Good old, drain cleaner! That will be a relief in more ways than one.

As for the hair - poor mig! It was what I dreaded as I can't reach my head to get any headgear on properly. Luckily, for me, it didn't happen.

Mig, you'll still be you and that's what matters to everyone.

I loved it when my hair all went. Still have the photos. And my skin went so smooth on my face, arms and legs.
