Hi, I’m a 63 year old female and have been living with arthritis since my teens. It’s great to have a place, like this forum, where it is safe to discuss things. Looking forward to meeting you all. Kindest regards LucyC
Hi @LucyC, and welcome to the online community!
You haven't said what kind of arthritis you have, but you've clearly been dealing with it for quite some time so I imagine you know a lot about yourself 😊 We have a real mix here in the community, and I suggest you have a look around the forum and see what interests you.
We have a few different forums dealing with arthritis itself - Versus Arthritis has started a campaign based on exercise and moving, trying to emphasise both that exercise can help arthritis sufferers, and that exercise doesn't have to be "exercise" - any form of movement, whether it be moving about you house and making a cup of tea, to doing the housework, to walking your dog, all way up to classes, long walks and "formal" exercise count. Take a look here: https://community.versusarthritis.org/categories/letsmove We also have a forum dedicated to questions and issues which come up specifically for arthritis: https://community.versusarthritis.org/categories/living-with-arthritis-forum
As well as arthritis specific discussions we also have a variety of discussions which are more general which I'd suggest you look at - if you're in to gardening try out https://community.versusarthritis.org/discussion/51827/gardening-whats-going-on-in-your-garden#latest if you have pets do look over https://community.versusarthritis.org/discussion/51748/pets-corner#latest We also have a place which can hopefully help you smile https://community.versusarthritis.org/discussion/52548/levity#latest and if you're looking for any new recipes try out https://community.versusarthritis.org/discussion/51431/matrons-munchies#latest
If you think we're missing anything, or you have something you want to share - please do! The community ifs full of lovely people who are incredibly friendly, and I'd highly suggest getting involved in as many conversations as you find interesting.
It's lovely to meet you!
