Hi I have erosive oesteoarthritis in three middle fingers on each hand. I went to Docs several times with pain in hands even before Covid, it took a junior GP to refer me at the start of Covid. I have been on Sulphasazine now for about 10 months. It deals with the pain. But I am angry it took so long. I haven’t even seen an Occupational Health Therapist yet. It’s all dealt with over the phone! She’s sent me exercises and putty and elastic band about a week ago! but I feel it’s all too late! I can’t open bottles, I struggle to pack shopping, I can’t grip anything. Very little movement it’s so frustrating. I work in an office, mainly computer work and I have another 7 years until retirement, I really can’t see me managing to carry on doing the work I do. Sorry to vent and moan, I am a happy person most of the time 😊any advice will be welcomed x

Hello @Beverley and welcome to the online forum,

I can understand your frustration at not being diagnosed with erosive arthritis for some time, and how Covid delaying everything must have added to your frustration.

The members of this group have all experienced arthritis in their lives, and I hope that some will come forward to share their experiences and advice on how to deal with the pain.

There are a couple of recent threads where members talk about erosive arthritis pain - perhaps you could have a look and post any questions or comments you may have. It can be good to share with others who have similar conditions.

Best wishes, and do keep in touch,

    Anna (Mod)
