Pain control
Level 4 osteoarthritis in my right knee with level 3 in my left along with gout. I take naproxen & stomach protector plus paracetamol every day. I use a TENS on my knees when I get home from work as I can't use it or my walking stick in work as I work in a food production factory. I had a lidocaine injection in my right knee which for the 6 days I was off work was good. I slept longer than in my usual 2hr blocks but as soon as I returned to work it stopped working. 1st wk back it took the edge off but 2nd wk pain was bck to normal & this wk its really bad. Been referred to orthopaedic dept but no joy yet. I've tried motusol gel but it causes itching & blisters. Used knee supports but makes my whole lower legs ache. Any other suggestions please?

I was wondering whether you are close to being ready for surgery? In your shoes it would be orthopaedics I'd be chasing.
If heat helps you can buy little heat patches for your knees which might just help a tiny bit?
Otherwise (and anyway it's a good idea pre-operatively) I would be looking at some of the exercises the moderator has linked in for you.
Those jabs only work short term for me too we just are the unlucky ones sadly.
