Hi i was diagnosed with RA and psoriatic arthritis 3 yrs ago since then it's got worse and working full time is getting much harder so I thought I would try and apply for pip i did and it was denied, I have appealed this and am now waiting for a tribunal date. Since applying though things have gotten worse I now walk in constant pain and swelling in my left foot also my hand are so bad it's painfull to hold a cup of tea for any length of time. I'm not looking to give up work but reduce my hours. I'm after any help and advice do I get in touch with pip as I've not heard anything and it's getting me down and really worried for the future

Hi @davieselite
Firstly I'm sorry you are going through this and I am sure the financial worries are only adding to your stress and making your pains worse.
I do think you may need to do a new claim though, as PIP claims are based on your circumstances at the time of applying, so if your pain has got worse you might need to submit a brand new claim. It would be worth contacting Citizen's Advice for help and advice, and I am pretty sure they are able to help with filling forms in. It's also important to gather as much medical evidence as possible to support your claim, so doctors letter and rheumatology letters, as well as prescription lists. It all helps.

I really hope you get sorted. All the best, Claudia x
