Questions to ask rheumatologist
Hi
I am 66
got diagnosed a few years ago.
The rheum I have doesn’t listen to anything I say and talks over me, this is the second hospital and second rheum I don’t think I change hospitals again and no other hospitals where I live.
I have an app on the Monday, please advice on how to deal with him he is very hard to listen to me,I need advice on questions other people ask there rheumatologist and the nurse is the same as him.
Have tried different biologics don’t agree with me I ended up with a very serious fungal infection amongst chest infections every week so of on biologics and antibiotics most of last year as was told I can’t stay on biologics with infections all the time, I am told I am a rare case which doesn’t help.
The infection called Staphylococcus lugdunensis was discovered in France in 1988 after the first biolgic I got this and took months to go.
I now have HS a chronic skin infection which I never had before.
Thank you

Morning @pink8755aaanew
Sorry to hear your concerns about consultant and nurse.
Have you got anyone who could go with you for support ??
Also are you able to diarize and photograph as evidence to show them ??
My hospital has PALS not sure if at every hospital but if yes maybe contact them and express your concerns with them ??
Hope this helps and that others connect with you soon with more advice.
Best wishes @Naomi33
