Newly diagnosed and so many questions
Hi all, I have constant pain due to hip dysplasia and back issues and dr just kept saying your on alot of meds when I tried to say about my joint pain. Saw a physio who said its muscular, your stressed and your muscles are tight but I knew it wasn't that.
I finally had a xray which shows severe arthritis in my shoulders, I'm having Injection next week to see if that helps.
I have a brilliant booked for my back on the 25th so will see what if anything new that shows.
Why is it so hard to be listened too?
IIf I have arthritis in the shoulders what's the chances the pain in my other joints is that too?
Be lovely to hear from anyone x

Hi @holmans and welcome to our friendly online community.
If you have been diagnosed with arthritis in your shoulder and other joints are causing problems for you, i reckon there is a very good chance it's arthritis affecting them too. It's quite common for doctors to put it down to "wear and tear" without doing tests and scans for arthritis. It's very frustrating, but you need to keep pushing for it and hopefully they will take it more seriously, especially now you have been diagnosed with arthritis in your shoulder. Here's an article you may find useful.
Osteoarthritis (OA) of the elbow and shoulder
All the best with your injection, I hope you get good results from it.
