My Knee Replacement Experience in Mexico

My name is William. For years, I built things with my hands as a carpenter. My work was my passion, but it also wore out my body, especially my left knee. The dull ache became a constant, grinding pain. I couldn't walk without a limp, and I had to stop doing the work I loved. Doctors in Portland diagnosed me with severe osteoarthritis and recommended knee replacement surgery.

The emotional toll was immense, but the financial one was even worse. A knee replacement in the U.S. cost over $30,000, and my insurance wouldn't cover it all. I couldn't afford it, and the wait times were over a year. I was trapped.

"The pain was taking my life away, and the cost of treatment was like a wall I couldn't climb."

I started looking for other options and found [details of treatment provider deleted as against Community Guidelines]

My wife and I went to Tijuana feeling nervous, but the clinic was modern and clean. Dra. [xxxx] was amazing; she was confident and put me completely at ease. The knee replacement surgery was successful, and the care was excellent. The physical therapy started right away, and I felt a new kind of pain—the pain of healing, not the constant grinding of bone on bone.

Back home in Portland, I'm a new man. The old pain is gone. I'm back in my workshop and can take walks with my wife again.

Hello @sohail991 and welcome to the Community.

I am pleased you managed to get your operation sorted and are recovering well. Unfortunately I had to edit your post as we do now allow links to clinics or hospitals as part of our guidelines.
