She's like the girl in the movie when the spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

one of my favourites......hope someone knows it x

ok i'v been to soft so a really hard one now

Fate had me playing in love you as my sweet heart.
Act one was when we met, I loved you at first glance
You read your line so cleverly and never missed a cue

Then came Act II,you seemed to change, you acted strange,
    and why I'll never know.......

Well lots of people sang it but you can have
    Susan Maughn or lesley Gore
    and it was Bobbys Girl

    OK MY GO

Well the railway man he cut the cards
And he dealt them each a hand of five
And for the Lord he was praying hard
Or that train he'd have to drive
Well the Devil he had three aces and a king
And the Lord, he was running for a straight
He had the queen and the knave
And nine and ten of spades
All he needed was the eight

    Hi Colin,
There was a Xmas number one called 'deck of cards' but I don't remember who 'sung' it, think it may have been an actor.....

I'm not 100% there but it might be half right and help someone who can remember the 'singer'.

Hows you by the way? Take care

Oh no totally wrong its the devil and the violin song..... I don't remember its name though.......

the only reason i never broke them is because i wrote them.
but rules are there so you can break them so they say. So on that note ill have a go while where waiting.
HOPE YOU CAN REAL OLD ONES I THINK THIS IS ABOUT 1960

I can't sleep nights because I feel so restless
I don't know what to do, I feel so helpless
And since you've been away, I cry both night and day
