Hi
I remembered now that it is Wanganui. My brother-in-law lived there for 5 years, and it is a beautiful place.
Welcome to the Beautiful City of Wanganui
Wanganui is located on the West Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The famous Whanganui River flows from one of New Zealand's highest volcanoes, Mount Tongariro, through the spectacular Whanganui National Park, to the coast of the Tasman Sea, and the bustling city of Wanganui. Internationally famous for the spectacular scenery of the Whanganui River, this picturesque city is fast becoming a 'get away' spot for visitors.0 -
Hi Annie,
yes, I dont have much idea really either. Our garage is full of fishing rods, etc  Hubby's a keen fisherman, never catches anything though0 -
My father-in-law was a keen fisherman.........hubby can't stand it! But son-in-law out in NZ is and is in his element out there. My daughter has astonished me - she was always the 'city girl' type, but since being out there has turned into a full-time countrywoman.

It's lovely here. ;I have decided to go on an open top bus ride round to have a look at the city. Then I can find somewhere and do some sketching.
Are we staying on land tonight. Will be rather nice. It's so quiet here and away from the noise of the engines.
If we are here tomorrow, it would be nice to go and have a look at those mountains. Is there a cable car we can use.
Good job I brought some champagn with me off the ship. Got quite a taste for it as the mo.
