    OK folks, we've been travelling all through the night ( thanks to our two excellent drivers ) and we've arrived in sunny Spain. Shall we stop for a drink with Tone :?: I think he lives somewhere around here. I'm sure he won't object if a coach-load of us call in to see him, and Peter and a few others can use his loo while we're there.

    We'll hit the beach later after we've settled into our luxury 5* hotel. Enjoy the sunshine :!: :grin: Time to relax and get that bikini on girls, if you dare :grin:

    Catch up with you all a bit later, I'm rather drowsy after being awake rather early thanks to the great white lump purring & crying for some loves off his Daddy... :roll:
    Besides, this drowsiness always hits the morning I'm due top put on a fresh patch..

    Crikey, you're a hard lot to please :!: :roll:

    I've never actually been to the Costa del Sol, but I have been to Puerto Pollensa in Majorca several times. I agree with Del that it's very nice, and a bit more up-market, so we'll head there instead.

    A stroll along the Pine Walk, a good lunch at a beachside restaurant, a siesta this afternoon, a dip in the sea, a spot of sunbathing, reading a good book, people watching, and generally relaxing. Now what could be nicer than that :?: ( Oh no! someone's going to say they hate the idea, but you can't please all the people all the time, can you :?: )

    Here's a view of the mountains at Pollensa. Pretty, isn't it :?: If you don't want to sit on the beach, you could always go for a hike in the mountains. I know which I'd rather do :lol:

    Yes, it's definitely Pollensa, :!: The hotel is booked, bikinis and mankinis are on, so no changing our minds again.

    I think we've arrived by now, Cath :grin:

    I can't wait any longer for the sunshine, and rehab's been flexing his muscles in anticipation for hours now. ( not quite sure in anticipation of what- could be Tai Chi lessons on the beach :?: :?: Great :!: :grin: )

    I've slept through most of it so far.. Next hot beach we reach, just lay me on the sand if I'm snoozing... Cheers :wink::wink:

    I do hope that I can change out of this mankini soon... I was getting a little self conscious at that last posh restaraunt :shock: :shock:

    Tony, we arrived at Puerto Pollensa in Majorca ages ago, so you've been snoozing on the beach for hours now. Don't worry, we put you under a beach brolly, so you haven't been cooked. :grin:

    OK, you are allowed to change out of that mankini in time for dinner. The sand gets in all the wrong places, so I would hate you to be uncomfortable. :grin:

    The shores of Lake Como are stunning, my Brother goes quite a lot, I think there is a really nice hotel on the shore too.

    This tour is definitely a magical mystery tour, so we'll go to Istanbul next, followed by Italy, which I love. I haven't been to Istanbul, but there's a good guide to it on this link with Julia Bradbury visiting the city.
