    Our cultural tour of Greece begins with a visit to Delphi on the slopes of Mount Parnassos. This was believed to be the navel of the ancient world, the place where heaven and earth met. People made pilgrimages and endured many hardships in order to worship at the Temple of Apollo and to consult the Oracle , a priestess whom they believed conveyed messages from the God Apollo.

    When visiting Delphi some people claim that they feel an intense and almost supernatural connection with the site and its ancient history. I have been there, and it is one of the most spiritual and mystical places that I have ever been. They say that while there you should listen with your heart; someone or something may be talking to you.

    Well Mrs. Lawson I did enjoy your guided tour just didn't have time to post.I much prefer culture, just a bit difficult on the bones walking about. Remember we are all a bit groggy after so long on the coach and with all that ice cream and pizza.

    lol yes, this is beautiful retreat, they make wonderfully relaxing cake with a nice cup of tea in a china cup also cucumber sandwiches made with white bread with the crusts cut off and tiffin :smile:

    Very refined, Peter, if I may say so. Is Hyacinth Bucket ( or should I say Bouquet? ) in residence there too :?: :lol:

    i am here . think his undies in the toilet sink not sure why though. i got my duty free in majorca when we stopped there.as to where we are well who cares so long as we are together having a grand time val
