Thanks Len but the toms are inside in the conservatory and the leaves are dry.

I've looked at the links and it's none of those diseases.

The plants look really healthy and it's just a brown frilling on some of the leaves. The tomatoes are also unaffected. Reckon I shouldn't worry.

    Hi Christine

that's exactly what a lot of us do - and it helps us a lot and keeps us cheerful....pain gets you do down and it is lovely to acheive something isn't it?

Hi Joanne! Good to see you you have been soooooo busy!!! I have one of those sinks you are talkinga bout...will you tell me how you are going to make your water feature if you can???

At gardeners world yseterday l bought some ladybird poppies and some alium ambassador bulbs.

    Love to you both

    Toni xx
Hi Toni the sink was a killer took 3 of us to get it in place went to bed after that one but felt good i had achieved it. worth the pain. The water feature is waiting i am getting the flowers round it right first. I will be painting the wall behind. I would like a mirror i have seen in a book gothic type so either hub will try make it or get a glass place to do it. Hub thinks sheet shiny metal will be better and get water to trickle over that with lights below. i have looked at pumps etc and plants. we are still thinking about it. It will be looked at more in the main school holidays as hub will be off work to help. I will tell u what we do.
Yesterday i got two more clematis Nelly morris and Josephine both are pink to go in the border. the plants in there are doing ok but i have to water well the grass in the easter island figure heads as they dry out quick. any way having a browse on site bye now from joanne

But Fat Kev brought a big bottle of fizz and that's all Val and Linda care about. Once he'd popped his cork they were the girls for him

Had another "busy" day on the garden a few weeks back.
Managed to reinstall my water butts. The one joined to the greenhouse had completely fallen to peices and found the bits, thankfully, and one on the shed had lost it's end spout which had fallen into the butt! So had to completely empty it out and turn it upside down to get it... quite a feat for this very aging and arthritic person... but I guess I don't have to tell you that!!...

Hope to have another "good" day soon so I can do a bit more.

The strawberries and raspberries have been wonderful this year. And 3 bright pink roses have bloomed on my climber. Everything is looking lovely.
