Our gentle, kind and lovely friend is in real trouble. I am worried about her and she is worried about her too. I offered to do a thread and she said yes please but she hopes that those who are kind enough to reply will understand that she is currently not in a position to respond.
Hang on in there gorgeous, this time will pass, it's sadly true that you are having far more of the rough than the smooth (that's irritating me hugely so God knows what it's doing to you) but the better times will come, somewhere, somehow, sometime. ((((())))) and a huge dollop of love. DD

Gentle hugs to you dear Tilly, you have/have had so much thrown at you it is no wonder that you are truly struggling. I wish I could help you. You are in my thoughts and hopefully, if others do the same, you will feel the warmth, power and strength of those loving thoughts.

dear tilly i am quite new oon the forum so dont really know you or your condition. i have however seen many of your posts of reply to other people, so i know you are a kind hearted person who quickly jumps in to help others.
this disease really does make us like wounded helpless creatures, trapped with nowhere to go. the pain amkes us constantly weep inside, even when we are holding it together.
i had deep conversations with rheumatologist about the mental affects of this disease and he was honest enough to tell me of the really dark and black moments it would cause. i actually didnt believe him as i thought i was oh so strong. pah! what a stupid thought that one was, as i have gone through suicidal moments, of pathetic snivelling mments and then as i came out of it, have realised the impact i have had on others around me, frantic with worry as this so called strong for all person crumbled.
i dont know if its mental aspects of your disease which are troubling you or effects of its degenerative progress but whatever it is, i wish you well and you, a stranger are in my thoughts.
avrielle mentioned in a post the other day about the silent friend who will sit with you just as support, well i feel that way about you too and im sure many on here, are your silent friends, with you in spirit.
each stage of this disease is like a grief process so take this time to grieve, knowing you have strong and supportive friends around you - you will get through this, whatever it is. you will again be back on here supporting and being in peoplespockets, you will smile again, you will escape the pain for just some moments and you return as your positive helpful strong person again.
this disease doesnt seem to go for the weak people in life, it attacks the strong but we too are allowed moments of weakness.
stay strong x0 -
Thank you DD for posting this Sweet, kind tilly, I hate to hear that your going through such much pain and upset. Why is it that it seems to always be the sweet, good, kind hearted people that suffer never the evil, bad, nasty people. If there is a god he has a twisted mind!

I know I'm new and don't know you so well, but I am sending virtual ((Hugs)) your way.
I hope you feel stronger soon. A big brick wall can sometimes stand in our way and we can't get past it. But remember that slamming yourself against it will only tire yourself out and the wall will still stand tall. There is always another way to get past it. Over, under, around...
I'm assessing the options of my own brick wall just now. Sometimes the wall is a lot thinner than it seems, fragile even, and sometimes running head first can be the right choice.
But whatever your wall is and looks like, there is always a way through to the otherside!
Sending you love and hugs. xxxLife is just a ride. Up and down, round and around, thrills and chills, very brightly coloured and very loud. But don't ever be afraid, because it is just a ride.0 -
Thank you to DD for starting this thread for me and thank you all so much (as always) for your kind words and your support.
I am feeling so low at the moment, both physically and mentally and I can see that things are really taking their toll on my wonderful husband, G, too and that matters far more to me than anything. He has a week off work next week (long booked and much needed) and, even when we can't go far we usually enjoy spending time together at home and sitting in the garden.
But thanks to the continuing noise from the demolition work next door and the after effects of my Ritux infusion no 2 which is now due on the Tuesday, I can see next week turning into a nightmare for both of us - stuck in the house and unable to get away from the noise (at the moment the builders are demolishing a brick built garage and breaking up the concrete foundations which means using drills and disc cutters about a foot from the outside wall of our house). I have tentatively suggested to G that he pospones his week off until a more restful week is possible but I'm not sure that suggestion has gone down at all well. He has already said he wants to be around to be with me after my infusion (which I really appreciate) and because next week is is our wedding anniversary and my birthday but it just feels so important for G to have a nice week off, rather than being stuck in with me and the building noise.
I suspect this will probably score me at least a "B+" on the moan front (DD and Sticky) and I HATE moaning so I will stop now. But thanks again all for your support. I really do appreciate it.

Although it's lovely to hear from you I'm not scoring this one - support threads like this should never to be 'graded'.
A small crumb of comfort I can offer is that hopefully the demolishing etc should be completed by next Tuesday - that's another three working days away and if they haven't done it by then surely they can't call themselves builders. After your struggle to get to the ritux last week I hope you will be able to do next week's, you need it methinks. Another small crumb is that the giraffe-necked-mono-toned-droning Scot is trailing Ferrer in the tennis. And another is that I have eaten an entire bar of Rolo chocolate and I feel icky. Hello Tilly,
I am sorry you're having a hard time. I am going through a rough patch myself right now so I understand how hard it can get. At some point things just pile up and it gets too much. I hope that things will get better for you soon. Try to relax as much as you can after your rituximab, even though it might be hard with the building site next door... Poor you! I hope they will soon finish up and you will be able to enjoy your birthday and wedding anniversary in peace.
Take care,0 -
I am sending many hugs to a wonderful person.
Having 'lurked' about this site for over a year without posting your kindness and thoughful replies gave me great support.
So sorry to hear you are having a bad time and sending you all my best wishes.0 -
Hi Tilly,
just wanted to add more positive thoughts and virtual hugs- God willing the racket will have subsided next week and you can have some quality time with the OH. {{{{{{{}}}}}}}}

Hi Tilly,
Sorry you're having such a rough time.
How long does it take for the after effects of the Ritux infusion to wear off? Is there somewhere nearby you and G might be able to camp out (just during the day!) to get away from the noise?
In the meantime, hugs and chocolate heading your way...
Best wishes,
PhoebePsA (psoriatic arthritis) and other things since 1990. Happy to help when I can :-)0
