Hi Tilly, I've been away for a few days, so have only just seen this thread.
I just want you to know I am thinking of you.
Conratulations on your anniversary.
Fondest wishes,
Numpty0 -
Thanks so much peeps!
Today we have been out AGAIN - necessity to avoid the dreadful building noise but still, we did it! Made the mistake of borrowing a wheelchair to go round the garden centre - boneshaker didn't begin to describe it and I'm not sure I will ever be quite the same again
Rituximab tomorrow :?
Thanks again for your support and kind words.

 You weren't thinking of dead-heading our lovely Tilly????
Tilly, I'm proud of you. next time get your own wheelchair with a thick, foam cushion - no comparison.
I'll be with you tomorrow.(())If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Well Rituximab no 2 done and dusted and all went well. Very relieved that's over and hopefully that'll be it for another 9 months or so. Thanks so much as always for the support.
I also managed (after a battle) to get an x-ray on my possibly stress fractured shin. Doc said, in so many words, that it didn't matter if I had a fracture because they know I have osteoporosis anyway! She eventually said I could have an x-ray - if I wasn't worried about the radiation - which is laughable given that each of my four lung and heart scans recently has apparently been equivalent to more than a year's worth of background radiation anyway. Then she told me that there would be no follow up on the x-ray because she was moving to a different dept in a couple of weeks so it would be up to me to find out the results. To coin of of our DD's phrases - "ye Gods"!
Thanks again.

Ye gods indeed what a way to talk to some-one.Hope you keep well.Mig0

Thanks Mig.

Tilly, I am glad to know that the infusion went well. Lets hope it works and gives you a bit of relief.
That nurse was not a very 'caring' person. I am sure your nice gp will help you find out the results.

I'm glad it's all over too, Tilly, and all over for 9 months. Well done! I hope it works well for you.
As for the less than helpful consultant? radiographer? Nurse? I think it's good news that she's moving on and hopefully you won't have to suffer her again. Pollick! If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks Sticky.
It's my birthday today so I am planning to relax and enjoy it having got yesterday over.
Thanks for sending good wishes yesterday via pigeon DD

Thanks Suzy.
Yes, if I get no joy on the x-ray result from the hospital I will try the GP cos I am sure he will help me get the results.

Thank you peeps for your kind words and continuing support. It really does mean so much.
The anticipated negative post-Ritux effects haven't materialised so far which, after last time is an unexpected bonus. I'm having to battle hard against the steroid induced black hole of despair again but at least I know that's what it is which kind of makes it easier to deal with - although crying over every little thing and often over nothing in particular is frustrating and embarrasing to say the least. Hey ho.
Thanks again.
Tillyxxx0 -
Hi Tilly,
I do hope the horrible steroid abyss doesn't last for too long.
Take care of yourself, and of course, keep posting.
Fingers crossed, the Retux kicks in soon.
All the best,
Numpty0 -
Thanks so much Numpty.

Hi Tilly,Hows it going today?Mig0

Afternoon, Tilly. Like mig, I was wondering how things are. The ritux side sounds good but the steroids side sounds nasty. It does make sense to say that knowing it is just the steroids helps but you still have to deal with the consequences. Just in case you can use them ((()))If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
