    Ah, the nurse (thank you for remembering) - I've cancelled that appointment because all is well and I can't be bothered to drive to the other side of town just to be told what I can see for myself. I will have a lovely little horseshoe scar methinks! DD

    Oh Maria, thank you for remembering and asking, that is very kind of you. The week-end was upsetting but the thumb is doing fine, I still can't bend it properly but I am sure that will come back in due course once it's all healed underneath. DD
