CBD Oil Amitriptyline

Hi.

Couple of questions.

Does anyone on here take CBD Oil or capsules to relieve pain of osteoarthritis?

What dose?

Does it work?

Can it be safely taken with Amitriptyline.?

Do people take Amitriptylin?

What dose?

Does it work?

Asking as I am currently on 10mg daily Amitriptyline prescribed for Neuropathy not osteoarthritis and it's helped problem.

Would 20mg Amitriptyline dose help with osteoarthritis too?

    Hello,

    I started using CBD oil over a year ago just to try and sleep through the pain as I couldn't get 3-4 hours without being in pain.

    I started with the smallest dose of 300mg as I had never had it before, gradually going to 1200mg. Higher than 1200mg was better for me but after having to cut out oils I now have 1200mg capsules (the max in capsules on the site I use). I take 1-2 a night (depending how long I am pain free for while sleeping. I will sometimes take one during the day if need be.

    I don't know where I would be if I hadn't started taking CBD because I was spiralling down on just 3-4 hours sleep a night. I also take 5-htp daily too to help with sleep.

    Hi @hungryheart

    I took cbd oil and found it very helpful with getting some needed shut eye.

    However, my doctor moved me onto amitriptyline as my other meds were not helping anymore and was told that I could not use Cbd oil whilst on them.

    I currently take 20mg amitriptyline a night and naproxen and cocodamol during the day and that seems to really help.
