Hello everyone, I'm 54 and I've recently been diagnosed with RA and it's all come as a bit of a shock - I went from 'fit and fine' in April to 'pains that can crop up all over and diagnosed' in August.

I'm still getting used to what my body can and can't do nowadays and what's a concern and what's 'normal' for RA.

Also... methotrexate: I'm on my 4th dose (4th week) tomorrow so not up to full strength yet, and I'm not sure what's the drug and what's me feeling rubbish. I think it's probably a bit of both 😄.

... and then we get to what's going on in my head - this is a roller coaster ride isn't it? Getting your head around this now being a huge chunk of who you are.

Anyway, enough about me. I think I'm here looking for some support, and a bit of 'we get it' as I'm sure so many people here have been exactly where I am.

A bit of up and down I can cope with, but please tell me it gets generally better!! 🤣
