    Hi all,

    can I have a bucket of everngy (well better make that two I think :roll: ) and a mug of black coffee please?

    Had trouble today cos I can't remember if I took co-codamol at 1 so daren't take any more yet :? :shock: :? :shock: but I feel like I must have missed it ..... so hanging on till 5 to take some more then.

    Managed to do some washing but boiler is playing up again (intermittently decides not to work) so not very warm here. BG coming on Wednesday afternoon so have to miss T'ai Chi. :(

    littlelegs didn't appreciate a walk in sleet this morning (she thinks I did :shock: :roll: :o ) but so far none has settled. Blinking cold though - making soup for tea to warm us up.

    hugs left in usual place for everyone who wants one.

    evening all its cold out there , never mind i have just put a big pan of bung it in chicken stew on the side help your self its yummy , hope nobodys got snowed in xx

    We finished the last of our Lancashire Hot pot today. Had our main meal earlier today. OH was cold and hungry when he had got back from hospital trip with Jacquie so decided to switch our meals round

    Made fish pie for tomorrow. It has got spinage, salmon, monkfish and scallops in with fennel seasoning. I go to Lidls for all my fish. They have such a great selection and reasonable. Anyway, made two pies, so one will go into freezer for another week.

    OK then, as it's col dtonight, have brought in some fur throws in. thought it would help us keep warm.
    Now, how much Ovaltine have we got that's usually popular.
    And I've brought some ginger coffee muffins in. Yum ym No Berty, not all of them

    ok then i will have just the one they do sound yummy , thoes furrys do look cosy will sit by the fire for a while with my muffin and a cupper x

    Hi to all, Wonky, Joan, Berty, Barbara, Jan and anyone else who snuck in there.

    I'm up and running again on a large steroid dose, still waiting for a call back about other possibilities (be tomorrow now) and I'm plugged in.......I fell asleep this afternoon which isn't surprising one way and the other.

    I will have some of Berty's chicken stew and a bucket of builders and a bucket of energy to go with it.

    It's stopped snowing here and has turned into a nasty cold sleety drizzle.

    Hi Annie,
    Its good to see you up and about again, I am not always up todate with whats going on with everybody, I just know you have been quite poorly.
    The stew will do you good, and the ginger muffins are lovely....if there are any left :)

    there just trying to find ways to cut spending out of there own pockets down, keep them all at home and let us bare the brunt, saying that, we have always said lees mam can come to us when shes to daft to look after herself, :lol:

    Hi Annie. glad you spoke to your dr.
    Hope you do start getting better now. you've had a bad run.

    There's plenty of muffins for everyone. I think I shall make some more. The coffee and ginger seems to go together quite well.
    That reminds me, must put ginger wine on shopping list.

    I hate going shopping.

    Glad Trisher is back in this evening. After the bad nights you have and Annie, it's not surprising you are both exhausted. And the cold weather doesn't help at all.

    Jan. A roast again,lovely. Think that's what we'll have on Wednesday. It will be easy because I took some slices off a huge joint at Christmas and put them in the freezer. All I need do is put them in gravy made from the veggies and roasties, etc.Y Pudding, Lovely. All this talk of food is not doing my diet any good. again it's because of the cold. Makes you hungry. Wish we had the same food at home as we have in this cafe. No Calories

    We've had some snow today (I'm in Suffolk/Essex) not much tho... but veru very cold!... I@ve spent the ay making chicken pies and chicken soup from the left over roast.. Lovely! :lol:
