Hi Trisher. Lovely to see you. I think this horrible weather is getting to all of us. I keep forcing myself to keep my eyes open. Everything is locking up or flaring up. Went for chiro session and she says that I am improving. I'd love to know where.

Hi Julie. I think, if at the end of the day, you can retire, then do it. If you are in pain, tired and your health is suffering then you seriously need to take that step. Think of the lovely warm summer ahead of us. We always tend to think we can't afford it, but I found that I spent more money at work anyway. You can live very simply. You miss the chamaradry with your friends, but we can replace that. See you over on the ship.
I do hope Rehab is feeling better. Oh lovely, the sun has come out here.
How are you all down South doing? Hope you are not going to get flooded.

I've left a big fruit cake if you want some. Expect half of you think I'm a big fruit cake at times. You don't have to answer that one

My bones have been out to a party without me. Sorry I was not on the boat when you left I just had to stay in bed, I felt so bad. I'm a bit down as well which is not helping.

Hi Trish,

Sending you more hugs and hopes. I had a phone conversation with the duty doctor and he has put up some tablets for one bit of me.... the rest he didn't have time for...... So in 2 weeks if I still got pain and discomfort they will see me, good eh?!

Flower flares do creep up and I so hope this one of yours is gone away again soon. Eyes are rubbish, sorry but might see you later but only if your ok and just remember rest is so important when your in a flare. Love and more hugs Cris xx

Hi to everyone and (((((((())))))))) to everyone too.

I have officially joined the 'flare' club - Rheumy agrees that the chest infections I had have triggered off a huge flare of everything else, so steroids up again, no sleep and swollen feet to come.

Also had trouble getting prescription from hospital pharmacy, had to come home and then go back again to collect it........and they say 'don't get stressed' to me! It's a bl00dy great pharmacy, and they hadn't got one simple item in stock!

Rant over! I feel better now

...........and I'll have a builders...

I would try. I had a doctor who was supposed to be mine when I first joined and he was rubbish, started taking me off tablets the pain clinic doctor said never stop taking them.

So he would not give me a prescription. So we rung up and asked when he did not work.

We waited to my doctor was not on then we got through to this lady doctor who was so nice.

We did that every time. When I needed help we rang. When I went into hossy they asked who my doc was and I said her. Hey Ho she is now my doctor.

If you can give it a try if you can.

Don't they do presciptions you can take to the chemist?? They do that at ours now.

Have you got to go back? Ask for a presciption that you can get outside.
They should be able to do that.

Hi Trish - it would have taken me a week to get it from the GP - it's the way they do things here - it was simpler to go back once the order arrived and pick it up then.............they just kept telling us it was on it's way to start with, then decided it wasn't........the usual blah.

Anyway, I've got it now and my BP is beginning to go down.......I'm going off for a nap in a minute, will be back later.

I'll have a builders and a bucket of energy to take away please....

Glad you are feeling a little better Wulf, was worried to see your post last night. We have made a space alongside the cafe so you can bring your submarine right to the door. All manner of vessel and critter is very welcome here, though we can't guarantee it will stay the same colour.

Will grab a quick brew before jumping (did I say jumping?) in the bath but will try and get back later to catch up.

Hope you all keeping warm, our snow is slowly going now thank goodness.
