Hi everyone, Trisher,Barbara, Val, Cris, Jan, in fact everyone

Hi Trisher. It's fascinating how they make these splints up. I've got to go and have a replacement one made up because it is beginning to break up.

I shall have a quick builders and a doughnut, then away to my studio.

I'm going to have a sit and and relax, going out tonight, nothing special, but had a invite to an evening with the Lions Club. I know they do lots for charity and well, so do we, but thought we would go along and see what's what. They say we are under no obligation :!:
I don't know what time I've got to do anything else, but sometimes these clubs and things can be a lifeline.
They come round once a year with the father christmas float and collect food and money for the needy, so I said to the OH that if it just mean't a couple of days a year collecting in a bucket then I'm sure we can do that.
Just had a man come round trying to sell fresh fish. I ask himthe price of smoked haddock. £47.50 for a tray with about 4/5 pieces on it. You can imagine what I said, politely, of course.

I now need a quite sit down and a cuppa. Finished of 3 more pictures and now tired.

    Hi there cris.
Silly of you to lose a toe? Sounds nasty though. how do you manage to balance?
Yes our heatwave has reached 8 degrees. I had a little walk down to the post box and it was lovely being in the sunshine. Doesn't it cheer you up?

I buy most of my fish from either Tesco, Lidl ( they do have good fish and good selection too) mainly.

If I want smoked haddock I go to Tesco. The amount that guy wanted to sell to me for£47. would probably cost me £8 in Tesco.

Right, who else is here, Kettle just boiled.

I'm around, Joy.........just in time for a builders........but won't have anything else, 'cos my steak and kidney pudding is nearly ready. Got a few minutes to sip my brew and do a bit of fire-gazing.

It been raining like the blazes here for the last hour.........was overcast but dry up until then.

Supposedly warmer.......but it's windier as well so doesn't really feel like it.

    Hi Joy,

Oh it was silly wasn't it :lol: More silly than you think..... I was shifting a muck heap.... met a bit of resistance, drove it really hard with my right foot..... tried to lift it and it wouldn't come up..... A mate was helping so we both tried to lift it and suddenly up came my left foot with the fork through it......... That's how stupid it really was :lol::lol: Anyway I took my boot off, no blood so I thought I got away with that except to ruin newish pair of hunters..... Pt my boot back on and then it hit...... Passed out it hurt so much, they put me in a wheel barrow and I came to on the way to the house.......:lol::lol: Anyway I went o cas after washing it really well and they didn't flush the second hole and I ended up with trench foot...... I was lucky though cus I only lost a toe and half the joint it was using

Hey I was 24 and things are so much easier when your younger eh?

Glad you got some cheaper fish.... Seems they really do have huge prices up country  xx

Hey Annie you our yesterdays weather so tomorrow you might get a bit of sun and showers :lol: xx

    Hi everyone

Julie, that crumble and cream was delicious. melted in the mouth.
forgot to say, had to dash off, get tea and now I'm off out to this Lions do. All dolled up - Do you think I'll pull  :lol:

Trisha, what can we do to give you bundles of energy? You have gone through a lot this winter. I suppose you are taking extra vitemins

Cris, That is some story about your toe.
You poor thing, I bet it still makes you grit your teath just thinking about it.
When I was a youngster of about 12/13 I use to help my friend and her dad deliver vegetables to the air bases around here. She slips on the back of the lorry and this great big hook goes through her thigh. She nearly lost her leg and it was a long job getting to save it. Accidents can happen so quickly and when you are young you move quicker et etc. Hope it doesn't give you too much trouble now.
is it getting any warmer down there. We are still 8 degrees tonight, brilliant. See you all later. let you know how I get on, unless I give the OH the slip and hit the town. OMG who would want to hit our town.

    Joy
