Night Annie hope you sleep well and not up at silly o'clock.
Hi Debs, yes I am lurking for the same reason, do hope Cris got there ok. She will try and get in when she can. We will still love you if you couldn't face it Cris.
How you doing Debs, hope you had a better night? Any more news on the car repair?
Trish will get you another coffee if you are still about? Rest up if you need to though that back pain sounds a bit grim love.
I'll get another brew and give Cuddles some attention for a while.

wow that is good news that Cris has been ......... must have remembered the water tonight ............. let's hope they were better than the uselesses have been.
good evening folks nice to see it has been busy in here.
looks like we need to stock up on the energy supplies ...... the last lot were scottish energy, but I stopped off and got us a spare tanker of Yorkshire energy to see if that is stronger (they make us strong up here you know not sure if it's the energy or the water though  )
so ....... energy now on tap ......help yourselves ... buckets are still available but feel free to bring any container of your choice. Mine is a water butt ... more room for the energy
any cake left ? ..... someone mentioned lemon drizzle
right .... going to lurk and see if Cris comes on but spect she has the calves to do and the dogs to chase round the field ... so may be a while yet.
hugs have been restocked too ... help yourselves
hugs

I wish!
well come to think of it, the other week my hubby got the iron out and manfully battled with the 'infernal machine' to iron his own shirts
So that is that ... I'm not going to iron one again (well .... that is until he flutters his eyelashes at me ...... and smiles that smile of his .......... and says pretty please )
would send him round but I'm not sure the 'ironed in creases' look is back in fashion yet0 -
Wish there was Debs i hate ironing i seem to iron it as i need it at the moment.
i'm off to bed pain meds are kicking in nite all hope we all get some sleep nite

HI Sally,
I'm up for a little while longer ........ what can I get you to drink? and which kind of cake is your favourite and do you want that with cream cos it's all calorie free in here
hugs (((((())))))))))
WOnky0 -
hi Wonky, thanks, I want a hot chocolate with whipped cream with a slice of coffe and walnut cake. Make that a very large slice please. Thanks for the hugs, need them tonight. Had nothing but bad news lately.0
-
Night Julie hope you sleep well.
Wonky
i only iron t-shirts these days & if it looks like it dont need ironing it goes straight in the drawer. Luckily stepson wears tracksuits so they dont need ironing, good job the amount of washing he causes & its even worse now as he's just started seeing a girl & its shower, change of clothes all the time.
Sally, sorry your a bit down. im up for a while as im waiting for Cris to get back from the walk in centre.
Sit yourself by the fire with a hot cuppa.

Right Sally ..... one bucket ( a pretty one with flowers on - honest ) of hot chocolate with whipped cream (there's chocolate whirls for on top if you want) and a HUGE slice of coffee and walnut cake coming up .... I might join you , although I think I'll have the lemon drizzle cake as I feel like something citrus tonight.
enjoy!

OH Debs that must be tough!
I only iron the essentials now .... and there are fewer and fewer of them every time as long as I manage to fold things when they are dry then they mostly are ok ...... although it doesn't work with the shirts though ... hence the need to get hubby working on them
hugs

thanks wonky. Lemon drizzle mmmm! might have to have a slither of that too. Have got a vast appetite for sweet stuff tonight
how are you.....if you are still up? I always come on here to late and everyone's gone to bed.0 -

I'm in later than sometimes tonight too ...... I often pop in before bed, and tonight i've got watching a programme on the iplayer that I missed, so I'm on for a few mins longer then I'll have to go to bed.
I was at the hospital to see the OT this morning and it wore me out, so I slept for a couple of hours this afternoon so I got an energy boost for a little bit. bit achey though, but then again I did quite a bit and only had three doses of painkillers today .... so that is maybe why.
have you had the sunshine that we have had today? it was cold first thing but the sun had a bit of strength.
hugs

Hi sally, I do the same. Im always about late even if im not posting.
Have a look on the bottom of the forums & see if anyones about.
Ive come here loads of times when i cant sleep only to catch up as no-ones about.
Oh Wonky, I used to find if you put the shirts on hangers when there wet they dont take so much ironing the same with trousers.
Ive got very clever on the way i hang things on the line or the airer these days & doesnt cause so many creases.
I hate the fact that i dont ironing the duvet covers but ive solved that as i put throws over the beds. Your right though, folding it all right helps. we find wonderful ways of doing less when we suffer for it.
Your OT appointments are going well then. did you get the test i got for your hands? Grip test. As mine was really bad on both hands.
debs0 -
Yes it was sunny but very cold here (london.) Feels like winter has come back again and the bulbs in the garden are struggling to come up. Spring is very late this year (or was it very early last year?)
What do you do in OT? I had one come to the house and they are coming tomorrow to put some rails in and sort out my bathroom. Better go to bed as have to be up early for them.
Thanks for chatting. Nice there was someone to have a cuppa with! Sleep well.
love Sally x0 -

Me too! I got a 'hangaway' which is a stand that can take up to 30 hanging garments and I use that to hang the shirts straight up from the washer .... then they dry ok and take half the time to iron. I got a rotary airer for christmas and when the builder has done the fixing for me I am hoping that will help to get stuff less creased.minky67 wrote:

she did the grip test on both hands ... funny thing was my results were better than hers ! cos she has osteo arthritis and has a weak grip. At least she knows what she is talking about.
I was a bit disappointed not to get a splint for my left hand, but she wants to see how I use my left hand before splinting it .... to make sure she helps it rather than hinders it.
I did get some tubigrip to go on the arm with the night splint ... apparently that will help with my arm swelling up in the night, and should also keep it cooler so here's hoping!
chopping veg next time  and she said to take my usual knife  not sure I should be carrying a 12" cooks knife on the train and the bus  :? :roll:0 -
Night Sally, sorry it seems I have just missed you. Hope you feel brighter tomorrow.
Sorry Debs didn't mean to abandon you there I lost my internet connection again :x Getting so annoyed with it now. Good news that Cris got there do hope it went okish for her and she can crawl back into the fire soon.
Hi Wonky hope you coping ok and pacing yourself? I'm likin the Yorkshire energy if only eh!
You two don't even get me started on the ironing I hate with a deep loathing and it is to be avoided at all costs.
Really sorry Cris, don't think I can wait up for you but will look out for you tomorrow. Sending positive vibes and healing. The boys send their love and purrs.((( )))
Hope you get some sleep Debs, Wonky. I have my last hydro session early tomorrow and have be to up far too early for me. I don't know what will happen then I fear I am dumped until I go back to my GP and whinge.
take care all, keep warm hope you all get some rest and will hope for a goodish day for you all tomorrow.

night night, I do hope you sleep well.
glad you saw an OT - I find that the second banister rail up the stairs is a godsend, also I am hoping to get some help in the bathroom as I now need more than just my bath board. THe hospital OT I am seeing has made me a resting splint and given me a working splint to help iwh the pain in my wrist and hand. they have made a difference already
hope all goes well tomorrow - do let us know!
hugs
WOnky xx0 -
Chris ... enjoy the last session and then go and whinge loudly as soon as possible
Cris - sorry I too have had to wimp off to bed. Hope you got some help, and that the employers have treated you kindly tonight.
please get some rest (you know you need to don't you ) and take care of yourself.
hugs to everyone cos I am brain dead and not sure who is still around.
off to my bed now.

It is the back pain that is worse of all. I just cannot get comfy at all.
I will be alright soon, it will all go away.
Cris reckons I'm having a PsA flare as well. I have never had that before now I have crusty ears
She told me what it was when I told her what my ears were like. So I'm suffering all around me at the moment.
Sorry Julie
I thought this said are they getting enough sleep thought you ment my ears
Don't tell me Specsavers
I have got some cream Sudo Cream, that seems to be helping at the moment.
How can I go out with crusty ears. Hubby said if we have to go to the hossy he will put a bandage aroud them.0 -
