Right walk in was ok, its only a short term fix but.... He looked at me, said I was very run down (kinda knew that ) and then said I must phone the Rumo for a urgent appointment as the pa is flaring and I also have a major reaction to the sulfa....... He told me I must go to eye casualty and get looked at asp....... He said antibiotics would not make any difference but the sulfa has given me the throat, the snot nose, the tiredness and also is clearly not working.

What was good is I saw a kind and Nice doctor so they do exist

I was talking to a friend while doing the sheep and we think..... I got cat bite fever.... I certainly have a lot of symptoms if not all of them...... Have spent the last 24 years being bitten and gouged by feral cats, that would have had fleas..... I got a compromised immune system long before the pa and well........

I need a good doctor but will mention it to both the eye people and the rumo.....

Please could I have a builders and I shall read back while I drink it xx

Well done, Cris......you have done it! It's made my week!

But please, please find out asap if it is Cat Scratch 'cos a friend of mine had that a couple of years ago, was very poorly with it and had to have a lymph node removed in the end. Ring the Rumo, go to A & E asap, but please don't leave it to worsen.

I will be there with my steel toe-capped boots on round about 11 to help with the shed................please warn them that I am on my way and I expect them to be on their best behaviour! However, I am bringing a couple of old handbags and a big box of custard creams with me.

Very bright and sunny here today but so perishing cold.........I don't do cold at the best of times...........and this isn't the best. It makes me ache and I get grumpy.

A bucket of builders is called for, I think.............just dive in it.....

- have tried to catch up. Just not getting in with the chat these days - OH is using PC a lot more, can't get on.

Hey Wonky, how are you doingwith your splints, my left one has started breaking up so have to go and get new one. Haven't used it for 3 nights now. Left hand is twice the size of my right hand because it is so swollen and sore. think it must be a flare PsA.too and terrible pains in my legs. I won't go on.

The sun is shining and the garden looks a mess. needs doing. my windows need doing. Window cleaner came and did outside this week. And the house, well, I know I'm not the tidiest of people but must do that too. and I am so tired. I say, these cream eggs are good. Just had one and a hug thank you. I needed that.
I shall start on the kitchen floor.

Val sorry re the BP thing, mine is high too but my doc being of the useless variety simply says well you are not overweight and I don't take anything for it. (the nipping outside habit doesn't help :oops: )

glad you saw an OT - I find that the second banister rail up the stairs is a godsend, also I am hoping to get some help in the bathroom as I now need more than just my bath board. THe hospital OT I am seeing has made me a resting splint and given me a working splint to help iwh the pain in my wrist and hand. they have made a difference already

hi Wonky, OT stuff very good, got a long rail going up my outside steps and a small one in the bathroom so I can get out of the bath + doors and locks that work properly. I am getting a new shower put in also. Hope you get some of the things you need, a small thing can make a huge difference it seems.
V pleased and feeling a lot better today.

Afternoon all!

I am very proud of myself today - I have successfully resisted any urges to a) pack anything, b) sort anything c) think about packing or sorting anything!

Instead I have spent the entire day dozing, reading, and thinking and drawing up some plans for the new garden and where-to-put-things plans for our new living room. All very restful, 'cos I have now binned the lot.

Before I move on to the next part of today's plan, I thought I'd have a bucketful of builders and a buttered bun or two to celebrate.

Then I will go and have a long hot bath and dream of some long warm weather.......does such a thing exist any more? It's been barely above freezing here today in spite of the sun.
