Hi Julie, Barbara, Val and anyone else who's crept in......

Have had a very long and tiring day inspecting our new home and making decisions.......hopefully we will be able to move in first week in June. It needs the windows replaced so we will have to wait for that to be done.

Delighted with it all............very small, easy to keep clean. The garden does require quite a lot of work, but that will keep hubby out from under my feet during the summer and autumn!

I'm definitely ready for a builders..............and a large slice of lemon drizzle cake!

    evening all!

well I have had another kip and now I'm awake when I should be asleep!

SO thought I'd drop some supplies in to make up for my going awol.
Lovely steak and kidney pies from the pub we went to yesterday ..... really lovely shortcrust topping and lots of rich gravy. There's giant yorkshire puds for anyone who fancies one - filled with either cottage pie or veg chilli - both tried out and found to be very tasty :D

and for those with a sweet tooth ..... Caramel apple pie, jam roly poly, both with custard or ice cream, and my favourite ... chocolate surprise (light chocolate sponge pud with a sticky gooey inside :D:D ) with ice cream and chocolate sauce ... mmmmmmmm :D:D

as you can see, we didn't stint yesterday (a dad is only 71 once eh? ) and you all deserve to share in our fun ..... so please help yourselves and the joy is for you it is all calorie free :lol::lol::lol:

right, anyone for a cuppa to wash that lot down whilst I catch up with what has been going on here?

    hugs

    Morning all!

I'm up early but I'm too stiff to go back to bed and sleep some more.

I thought I'd have a builders and clean round and tidy and then have a full English with another builders. I found some lovely eggs in the fridge so will have a couple of those.

Have milked Marigold and it's in the fridge ready.

Done the ladies and left some daffodils in there, got them yesterday on our way back from the coast.

Right, it's all done and the brekkie stuff is waiting and ready. I'm off to get the frying pan and the black pudding.

    Morning Annie

Hope you do manage to get back to sleep and unseize quickly afterwards. The daffs are lovely :D

I'm not a happy bunny, accidentally set my alarm clock an hour earlier than usual   Wot am I like :?: :? Think I have someone else's head on at the moment.

I'll have a brew and a bacon butty since I am up far too early

Hope you all have a goodish day.

    Chris

    Morning Annie,
Looks nice in here. You have beaten me to it. I'd love a good Full English though. I got up this morning thinking it was Tuesday and was just about to take my Alendronic tablet when I remembered it was Monday.
Hope everyone can keep warm today. -6 degrees here. Can't get into the ground to give it a proper dig at the moment, not that I can dig anyway, but OH wants to give it a good hoeing.

Has anyone had problems getting PMs off. I have been trying to get some replies toVonski and they haven't gone. goodness knows what she must think of me.
Perhaps I am doing something wrong. Up to 28th Feb. they have gone normally.

Looks like I've missed Julie, glad I don't have that bother anymore!
Have never known what it was like to hurry my daughter off to work. She went to Uni and never came home afterwards. I can thank my 2nd marriage for that.
never mind. I'm proud of them both and what they have made of their lives.
That's all that matters. and I have 6 lovely grandchildren to show for it.

What's everyone doing for Mothering Sunday next weekend?

    Hi Joy,
My two girls stayed away after Uni too. Both met partners and got jobs.
Mothering Sunday next week. Out for a meal.
    Take care
