I don't mind quiet, not today. How about some lovely apple crumble? very sweet it is and I only made it this morning.
Sorry to stuff myself with my 2 doughnuts so quickly, but must fly.
Will be back though....and nice to meet ya all x

(Mary rushes for the door, knocks over a chair or two - which is quite normal for her - scatters a few doughnut crumbs about and pings her way outa the door >>> that way)

I have done something completely bonkers today, (no change there then, I hear you say )
I have agreed, yes AGREED, to go camping over Easter!!! Gulp...

I had declined to go due to worries about pain, blah blah blah, but I thought s*d it, I want to go, will be an adventure and I sure need one of those!!!
All contributions to the 'get Mary a psychiatrist' fund will be gratefully received, lol.

Hmmm, I know
I am a veteran camper so it isn't new to me, thpough is about 10 years since I did it.
I did a pros and cons exercise and got to thinking I need to do these things now while I am still able (just).
It is a big modern tent, with huge blow up comfy mattresses, am taking lotsa pillows and a sheepskin mattress cover etc. Have explained will need hauling up in the mornings lol - after being brought hot coffee and croissants, of course.
Am going with family so they will look after the 'old crock'.
Hmmm just thinking, I better be on my best behaviour or they might just leave me on my mattress and disappear!! Oooer

well I have brought in a large boiled fruit cake that i made this afternoon. Made two ... one for hubby to take to work on Thursday (it's his birthday ) and one for all of us here - :oops: :oops: bit burnt round the edges :oops: :oops: cos minister was here and I got chatting instead of checking

Kettle is on and so is the hot milk .... so who's for coffee and who's for hot chocolate?

hugs replenished (cuddles the cat is still guarding them but will supply one in exchange for a quick cuddle)

brrrrr .... poor you with snow :shock: :roll: :roll: we've just got rain and rain and rain and rain dog is not impressed and neither are we

enjoy the cake - it is really easy cos you just put most of the stuff in a pan and boil if for 5 mins, then leave to cool. then just add flour and eggs and bake .... simples needs to be these days cos I can't mix like I used to ...... hubby has to help but can't have him making his own cake now can i???

We got rain and rain and rain.......and then it rained, too.

I have promised myself once we are moved and settled that I will get into some baking again.......we don't eat a lot of cakes etc, but a light fruit cake would be nice now and again.

I shall have another builders and five minutes with Cuddles - she's so very soft and furry and purry - and then go and find some zzzzzz. I know they are waiting for me, cos my eyes keep closing.
