Did you hurt yourself or just shook up?

for a week after my back was agony Ivy and I was a complete dithering wreck, had to go have cup of T and sit down for a while, take pills, come round. My OH was there, I just missed the step with my stick, I was holding onto the railing, fortunately it was carpeted so a soft landing, Dr said my spatial awareness has gone to pot with the bony spurs in my neck. I could have knocked the two people down though, when they said how I made them jump. I did go with a clatter, it was a wooden staircase, so everything shook  lol

Eeeuuww that sounds nasty. Goodness you could have done some damage to your neck if you had had a harder fall. what is your spatial?? ou got RA?? Good job you never knocked the two other ladies over.

Yes, fortunately I was going up and not down, thank goodness. If I have to do a few stairs I come down backwards, then at least if I fall I fall into the stairs and not base over apex down the lot. No, OA, but the bony spurs in my neck, compressing various nerves affect how I judge distance and such like, ie I can go to get something out of a cupboard and end up with the whole lot on the floor, or go to pick up a tablet and can be there ages, just cannot get hold of it, a bit like tiddlywinks  Am going to ask Dr to run some more blood tests, see if there is anything else showing like RA.

A long time ago they said I had OA in my neck. I kept getting my pinkie finger and ring finger kept going numb. Well eventually the doctors at the hospital said that the bone was pressing on the nerve and they are the fingers it affects.

My neck pain got a lot worse I have to wear a stiff collar.

I was wondering about a soft collar, might ask to be re-referred to physio department again. My fingers and arms go numb too, then neck goes into spasm and stops me in my tracks completely, like being stabbed in the shoulders. Radiculopathy or something like that. Not nice anyway, but............
This morning, I could not use either hand for a while, just had to lay there and try to get them moving, bizare and very annoying.

I understand the stabbing pains in the shoulders, that is painful isn't it? It might be worth asking about it. I wear a soft one at night.
It is to hold my head in the position and make me more comfortable.

Why don't you ask them when do you see them, soon

I will do, going to Drs next week and have open appointment at the musculoskeletal department, so I could ring them and ask to see the specialist GP. Right cup of T, can I get you one

Have you been told to rest your neck. I have they made me a wheelchair with clips that let the back down. It was such a big chair I didn't like it.

It was handy when we went on holidays. I had my own sunbed.

No, not really, they gave me some excercises to do, but there was no way, it made me nearly fall over and feel very nuaseated, so the physio said, "ok DONT do them", too right love, I won't, worry not.

Some days my arms just shake and tremble, trouble is, with all the pills, you never know what is causing what sometimes.

I was going to bed, but thought that another cup of T would not hurt and anyway, don't have to be up at the crack of dawn. You will laugh, for the second time this week, I woke up about 4 ish, waving the bedside lamp around. Lord knows why, plus half an hour later I thought it was time to get up and tried to get dressed. I will have a cup of normalness too while I am here.

Right, definately off to bed, n night once again, one and all. xxxxBubbles

Just popped in for a coffee. Hi there Delboy.

Hi Julie, Bubbles, Val (tables look nice)
I have been slipping just lately.
Had to get to my slimming clinic this morning. At least I have lost some more weight and lost another 4 cms round my waist.
So I have come in for a couple of doughnuts,:lol:

Despite all that snow, all that rain, when I went to plant some things in the garden, the soil was dry. 'cannot beeeeelieeeeve it'

Catch up with the rest of you later. Havea good day.

How long did you leave it out of the fridge?I am told 30 minutes at best but have left it for a few hours when distracted.
OH has taken Daniel out on the tube (he loves tube trains) but I forgot to ask him to put my socks on first.I am freezing and feet are numb.Going to see if I can persuade Lucy to help me.She is not very good at putting socks on.
Someone mentioned Earl Grey. Yes please love it.
