Trish - strawberries - all I can remember about them is that they are good for the liver and kidneys. I don't find the imported ones have any flavour, so wait till they are properly in season here before I buy them.

Night Julie, night Barbara, hope you both have good ones.
Chris, it seems very quiet everywhere just now...........not just bookshops. It looks as though we will have a problem with fresh food in a couple of days, too, unless they get some planes moving soon.
I'm ready for another T........just popped out there for a min - I decided to take a chicken sarnie with me tomorrow (I think I'm in for a long appointment) so just made it and stuck it in the fridge ready.
Are they really clearing air space now? I haven't seen a news yet....must go and catch up a bit in a minute.
Annie0 -

They said that 50% of planes will be going to European countries but not heard of anything else.
Just caught a glimsp on tele and I'm not sure if it is more ash coming out but it does not look good at the moment.
Where is this ash going? Will it come down on some country or just break up in the atmosphere??0 -
Hi Val
Hav you been sunbathing??0 -

It seems to be coming down in some places here........although how you tell it from ordinary dust I don't know. Sheffield I think reported it and so did Brighton, but because of the asthma I really must try and keep an eye on any reports. Presumably winds at lower levels will blow it about all over the place? My knowledge of the habits of volcanic ash is zilch!
Hi Val, you had a good day? Been lovely here again, hope we get a couple more days like it.
Annie0 -
Yes I will have to watch that as well with my asthma, we had all our windows open today I suppose it can creep indoors.
Well if you look at your car you might find out that it is ash. Is the volcano still active??0 -

Hi Annie, Val, Trish, Julie (sleep well).........have tried to read back as far as I can.
I can add blood results to the medical list for this week. Hope your hands feel better soon Trish, sending (((((hugs))))) for things to work.
Done a bit much today, so pretty spaced out and hands hurting, well, everywhere hurty, but, it has been a nice day. I let rip with a lump hammer today, I know, a bit silly, but I thought, I can do that, as the rest of the family where demolishing a small shed, I did a mountain of pots from lunch, at a very low sink that my folks have (nearly kills me, but they got done). I wanted to hit the shed with the hammer, so I did. 8) Had about 4 goes, then quit, as I was shaking from head to toe. It did me good I think, to whallop somethingThen went into town but had to stay in car, as my legs would not carry me, so OH went into the DIY shop.
went straight to bed on getting home. Pain killers a plenty, but not doing a great deal.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

It does indeed, felt like I had done my bit, it was a damned heavy hammer,
arms still dithering. Think I will need a sweet tea and some chocolates, just to aid recovery
