So if you go for a third time would it matter?????
Trish
No, not really I suppose, I would just feel a bit embarassed that's all, like I am wasting his time, even though he would be fine. I will ring in the week and make the appointment.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Well as long as you let him know not that you will but don'g forget though.
They are nasty not letting you have the increase in the first place but they do.
I had letters from professors as well who were looking after me. They still thought they were better than them to know about medical problems.0 -

No, I won't, promise, I will tell you when the appointment is for. I will say I am embarassed at hving to come back so soon, but he will be ok.
My Consultant will be fuming, I know that, but, as you say, they seem to know best and it is a miracle that I can use stairs without problems and am no longer in danger or at risk of falls, despite the fact that my maximum mobility states I walk in a poor manner and cannot exceed 50 meters without problems. Shooting themselves in the foot if you ask meXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

I know they can give you a hard time. You might know of this ,
I had to have my inferior Vena Cava ligated due to blood clots going to my lungs.
When I wrote this down as what surgery I had had they did not belief me. The proffesor had written it too.
The doctors have since only believed it when I had a scan and they looked to see then they told me I was right it does not work.0 -

Yes, I have indeed.
It makes you wonder who these people are doesn't it, beggars belief, as you say, some, who are not even ill, sail through and get everything on a plate.......that riles me so badly. I am putting the kettle on, T, Coffee?XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
I have read quite a few stories from people being found out inculding about a man who had a bad back and could not work because of it.
He was seen being a ref at a football match, then getting a bike and riding home, well how on earth do they pass like that.
I would love to be a fly on the wall at these interviews. They should look for muscle wastage I would have thought that is one one.
I know you must know a lot about muscle wasting ect0 -

I know you must know a lot more that that.
I remember that, he was running up and down the touch line, as fit as a flea, then there was the mayor or councellor who was out and about running here and there, another one playing golf every other day. Then, they make us, go to stand at appeal to prove that we are ill and need care. I fear my consultant will send them a really snotty letterXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Time for my last cup of T and then to bed. N night Trish and sleep well to one and all, take lots of care and we will gather tomorrow. Lots of Love Bubbles.
Kettle is on simmer and milk is on for midnight chocolate and ovaltine, cakes in tin, doilies out on the side, have had aand all the
are done. I even did the loos
awash with bleach now.
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Oh, poor you........well, have a cuppa T with me and tell me about it.
Annie0 -
I hope you've got your feet in a hot salt bath! Works for me, but I do find I have to slap on the moisturiser afterwards.
Cold sores, yeah........last summer I had a course of Aciclovir tabs as they would not go away (I'd got 'em in my nose, too). Haven't been troubled since.
They're a bit of a nuisance as it's 1 x 5 times a day, but it's only for 5 days.
Might be worth asking about them?
Hot flushes - if you ever find the answer let me know pronto!!
Annie0 -
I was.....before last summer! I had to get Zovirax with the eye drop tube so that I could squirt it!
Otherwise my nose was painful (ever so ouch) and throbbing.
Annie0 -
Practically every bit, Jan, following my rather dire week - escaping from hossie was not the easiest thing in the world!
I've had a thought, have you tried Sage tabs for the hot flushes? They worked wonders for a good friend of mine, so might be worth a try.
Annie0 -
Yep, exactly - it's herbal, obviously, so shouldn't upset anything else.
I get a lot of hot flushes and night sweats, but they are due to the steroids I'm on, not the same thing at all.
If it's not one thing it's another!
Annie0 -
Yeah, I would have, but Littlelegs got held up in the traffic and my nerve went!
Annie0 -
Me too, Jan........not that I've got a school run, but need to be up and about for a surgery appointment.
Nite nite, hope you get some sleep.
Annie0 -
Looks like you ladies had a late night or should that be an early morning? Here I am again, tried to igore the pain and go back to sleep.... not somethng I'd recommend, should have taken my painkilers an hour ago, might have been asleep again by now! Oh well I guess you live and learn. Also forgot to log out last time so looks like I've been on here all night hmmmm. Well that just leaves my hot chocolate and marshmallows, thank goodness for them. I'll soon be able to say I'll have my usual at this rate
I hope you all got off ok in the end ((((((hugs))))) to all. Brenda
