She said when they were done let them have a little dip to get rid od little bits of wool which would tickle them.

I did what she said and look what has happend

I have put them in the wrong dip    :oops:Sorry Cris I got carried away, I dipped before I sheared and put her in the wrong one.:cry:

Ohh yum yum, thanks Trish, hope it hasn't got any calories cos I'm on a diet xx

Debs, how old is your daughter if you don't mind me asking. I have three daughters and have fostered many more teenage girls over the years, so have some idea of how you're feeling. If you want to talk via pm that would be fine or could give you my email address or phone no if I can be of any help or even just a pair of ears. Anyway, thinking about you and hope things get easier for you, love Brenda m0439.gif Girls eh, it seems we never stop worrying about them xx

    Brenda

I did not know that I thought you just had the little boy. So you used to foster children. Bet that was hard at times wasn't it??

I read books written by Cathy Class she used to be a foster mum and she now tells about the children she used to foster, some were such bad cases.

Do you ever hear from any of them Brenda??

No my tummy is still the same. I hardly slept last night I was so uncomfortable as well it is just bugging me. I don't know how I could have pulled a muscle. Maybe I done it getting into my wheelchair.

It hurts when I breath, which is strange.

It is nice you came in early we can get to know you better. :D

Funny you should ask that Trish, I've had two ringing me up over the weekend, still in contact with quite a few of them, some have done alright and some are still having a hard time. I try to be there for them as much as I can but its harder now that Arthur has reared his ugly head.

My birth children are now 29 and 32, then we have our boy who is 5 and his sister who is 15. We also have our grandaughter who is 12. Have fostered about 40 young people over the years, some of them bringing their children to see us now. We gave up fostering when we adopted our two youngest as we felt it would be too unsettling especially for our boy, he doesn't cope very well with change, so its important that he is OK and they have to be our priority now. It was a privelege being a foster carer, I miss it.

    Awe that is nice Debs

I would send her CDM if I could.

I bet she has been looking at Rowan and Primmy.

Debs you will meet them, oh how nice that will be. His little tail got me when I saw him the night he was born.

I hope the other foal is not on the way, she needs a little break. Hey Debs you might see the next foal to be born. Wow that would be so nice.

I have my adopted donkeys somewhere near to Cris.

That is a very good thing you did. You give your life to other peeps in trouble that must have been so rewarding.

How is your little boy now? Has he settled?

I have a grandson who is 5 he melts my heart.

So sorry to hear you are still in pain Trish, its so easy to pull a muscle, just have to bend or twist the wrong way.

I am loving getting to know you guys better, I feel like I have made so many new friends on here, its fab. I love getting to know people, again, I feel it is a privelege to get even a glimpse into other people's lives. Getting to know people on here has made me feel quite humble at times, some people have so much to put up with yet still remain positive.

How old are your sons Trish, we never had a boy before and ours is a little terror, beig a mummy to a boy is a real shock to the system after all those girls, but we love him to bits and its wonderful being a mummy again at my age.

I know exactly what you mean, our boy has the most beautiful eyes with eye lashes to die for, never seen them so long before. He has been with us since he was 9 months old, so is very settled, but he does have a few difficulties, he can be quite an angry little boy at times, so we have to reassure him a lot at these times. We are about to start some therapy with him, so we'll see how that goes. 5 is a lovely age, he is learning so much at school and to see him learning to read and write is lovely. He asked for the stabilisers to be taken off his bike today, another milestone. I feel so proud to be his mummy :)

    Brenda

My eldest son is fine, he is working abroad at the moment so I don't see much of him and my grandson who is 5. My DIL is coming over when he breaks up from school.

My younger son was killed just over a year ago. He was in afghanistan when he died.
    He was 24.

Hi, will have to look up your fostering stories tomorrow Brenda. That is how I "got" S and before him I just did respite - some fab children with special needs ... I nearly always got the "handfuls!"

But please can I have a cocoa, S and I have got to get into a better routine of falling asleep earlier if we are going to manage better these early-get-ups for school ... his taxi comes at 745/7 50 .. he was SO tired last week at school and I was tired too burning the candle at both ends...

Pop it on the cyber tab thanks.

Ive told OH to get the trailer ready for the hugs.
Yes im hoping to see the foals & will report back when i get home.
we took down Thortons Chocs for Cris last year & wiggly sticks for the dogs (doggy treats for them with a different nature(accent etc) to us)
She said they were her favs but were so skint this year it might be a CDM & wiggy sticks fro the doggies. we didnt take anything for the sheepies so wonder if Cris gave them the Thortons, never did ask

Brenda, you must be one lovely lady with so much patience to do what you have for some many kids.
Were happy to have you on board but you do realise most of us are mad on here :lol:
    Im going to bed soon.
